Great value in an affordable case

I have been using these cases for the better part of a decade. The primary reason is the way the firearm is suspended in the case. Every "lay flat" clamshell type case I have tried eventually damaged the gun, usually because the foam did not hold it in place when it was accidentally dropped or just set on the floor a little casually (the gun slips to the bottom and the stock commonly contacts a rib or post in the case - ding!).
Not a problem with this case. I am not sure this case is still in the Plano catalog and I recently had trouble finding one for sale anywhere. Optics Planet solved my problem at the right price with prompt service and exceptionally careful shipping. Grab one while they are available!

Get a Grip!

I specified this Hogue grip on an older custom AR. I recently bought a second high quality but no frills rifle that arrived with a generic hard plastic "good enough" grip. Wasn't good enough for me. I wanted the same feel on both rifles and now I have it. I really like this grip! The Sampson tool was something of a gamble. Not inexpensive and contrary to my objective with this latest build - A light weight, knock around, handy piece. Think "ranch rifle". I ordered it anyway, and I am glad I did. It is a clever thing that I view as an insurance policy tucked up there in the grip and forgotten till needed. Recommended.

This trigger guard does provide a helpful increase glove clearance for you hearty winter weather shooters. In addition, it just looks so much better than the flat and unfinished looking standard part. There are variations on the theme but this part is up to typical Magpul quality. Easy installation, no fuss upgrade. Recommended.
This is essential EDC gear!

I was skeptical when I bought the first one of these amazing little gems. Now I seem to keep buying more after giving them away to family and friends. Why? There can always be one clipped into a pocket, ready for use. They are adequately bright for most any emergency. The switch requires a positive push to actuate so I have NEVER had one turned on and the battery expended by accident. They are rugged with a durable finish, waterproof (a friend has run his thru the washer, clipped into his coveralls, three times that I know of. Without harm.), and contrary to some reviews I have seen, mine have survived some pretty hard impacts without notice or even surface damage. But the best recommendation is that they are handy enough that mine is almost always on my person when I need it. Super Gear!
