I love the Steiner brand because that company has a good and long reputation for producing excellent quality optics. Unfortunately the pair of Steiner tactical 10x42 binoculars I had purchased from Optics Planet was defective in that I wasn’t able to get a clear view from them. The pair I had purchased from Optics Planet was showing double vision from both the left and right lens of the binos. I had purchased these binos for almost $450 and was quite disappointed when I observed that the image quality wasn’t clear. I have since returned this pair to Optics Planet for a non defective pair of the same type. I can’t really give an accurate rating for these binos until I receive the replacement pair and test them out. To be fair to Optics Planet, their customer service was really great when I called them to inform them that I needed to exchange my purchase for another identical pair that worked properly. They accommodated me quickly in sending me a shipping label and emailed me a couple days later when they had received the defective binoculars. They informed me that because of expected delays due to increased online shopping, it would be 3 to 4 weeks before I receive my replacement Steiner Tactical binoculars. I was pleased with their customer service and will continue to make more purchases from Optics Planet. The 3 to 4 weeks delay isn’t great but I guess it is to be expected with more people shopping online due to Covid so I will not hold that against Optics Planet.
