Takes up any slack

Review for
UTG Pro Model 4/AR15 Receiver Wedge
My crew lead told me about these and I was putting together a bolt action 6.5 Grendel for coyote hunting so I figured I’d try it. You wouldn’t think a little piece of rubber would do that much but it really does. It’s an extremely tight fit. If you have even the slightest wobble from your upper and lower this will fix it. I stuck a micrometer on mine to measure the wobble and it was almost too small to even measure but after putting this in there it’s as solid as if it were one piece. Every bit of help improves accuracy and if you’re taking any shot at distance this will help reduce some of the variables. Some will say buy more expensive parts and they won’t have any slack… or save your money buy the reliable cheaper stuff and put this little piece in and have just as little tolerance as the more expensive. It’s worth every penny in my opinion.

fits a little too snug

Everything went together like a charm except for the take down pins. The rear take down fits seamless but the front take down pin on the head of the pin the coating is too thick and it doesn’t allow for the pin to seat completely. Nothing a little sand paper couldn’t fix. The safety selector is a little stiff at first but once you work it back and fourth about 20 times it breaks in quite nice. It’s my first 45° safety selector so I’m truly pleased with it. All in all I’d buy again. For the price and the fitment I’m pleased. Nothing that couldn’t be fixed quickly. I think it took less than 10 minutes to assemble and fix the minor discrepancies.
