beautiful piece of wood

Written on Oct 05, 2020

I love laminated stocks, they are so good looking strong and add a little weight to very light rifles. this particular stock is a thumbhole model which is good for target shooting . the stocks are well made and fit without a lot of work. I have purchased a few of these stocks for my other rifles because I like the way they fit and feel. its just an added benefit that they look so good

quick and easy

I had some lead bullets that were a little too big around and I wanted to put gas checks on them. so I bought this to size the bullets and to press the gas check on them.some people like to make their own bullets well you have to have a way to check the bullets to make sure they will fit your brass and the lube helps keep your barrel clean

easy way to check the length of your brass

Written on Jul 11, 2016

I like this to check my brass for reloading. I dont have to mike it for length because if its too long it wont fit in the case gauge. quick and easy and most pistol sized brass fits.I also have one of these for rifle sized brass. I know if the brass doesnt fit I have to trim it for length prior to reloading.

good way to keep up with your shell holders

Written on Jul 11, 2016

I bought this die holder because I found I had many shell holders from rcbs and hornady laying around in boxes, that I couldnt find when I needed them.the large pins will not allow smaller hole shell holders like lee or lyman fit over them. but if you are looking for shell holders that will let your brass fit on your shell trimmer this is one to use. the shell length trimmer will not fit on shell holders with the smaller center hole , so if your shell holder fits on the pins in this box they will work on your trimmer

slick as greased bear snot

Written on Jul 11, 2016

this large sized pump bottle allows me to set up and spray a tray full of sized brass with a couple of squirts. the stuff is so slick it makes the brass easy to size because it lubes the dies so well. no excess to build up inside the die but no dry spots to cause brass to guall in the die. and since its a pump bottle it doesnt spray all over stuff you are not trying to lube like an aerisol.

the expanders work great

Written on Jul 11, 2016

I purchased multiple neck expanders because I load different caliber shells. some of the complete sets of dies come with expanders, many dont. I find these expanders work better when loading brass because I can pull out one neck expander to do different shells without getting out different sets of dies to reload.

an example would be I can use one expander for 380 9mm 38 super or 357 sig with only one bullet seater, so I dont have to drag out 4 different dies sets.

good set of shell holders

Written on Jul 11, 2016

I bought this set of shell holders because I load multiple caliber shells.the box allows me more ease in selecting the size I need.to work different brass.

I had hoped when I ordered these shell holders they would have the larger holes than the lee dies. my lyman shell trimmer has a large spindle to hold the shells when using the trimmer.at this time the rcbs and hornady shell holders are the only ones that have the large holes to accept the spindle , so these shell holders did not provide me with the larger sized hole I wanted.

not all brass is at the same height

Written on Jul 11, 2016

the idea of making each row of brass at a different height is appealing because it more easily lets you load powder into a row of shells without thinking did I do that row. anything that helps you in your reloading is a better product. also they dont take up as much room on the bench. the footprint is smaller than the flat blocks.

they do not work well for pistol brass though . the holes are deeper than many different pistol case brass.

needed something different

Written on Jun 11, 2016

I bought a barrel for a new gun and it was a different thread on the flash suppressor. so I looked around and found that this flash suppressor was the right thread so I bought it. it looks good on the gun and it does what it is supposed to. also the price was reasonable for the product . so I'm happy, if I ever need another one I know where to get them.
