B5 Systems Sopmod Stock Mil-Spec
Ordered this to go along with a Geissele URG-1 build. The stock itself is a quality product. The detachable buttpad with the M4 tool was a good idea. But the fit on the buffer tube couldn’t be any worse. It has significant fore/aft (axial) play that shifts when shouldering the rifle. And just as much wobble (radial play) that is exaggerated due to the large cheek weld sides (battery storage). The Magpul CTR and Wilson Combat Super-Stoc are MUCH tighter and more stable buttstocks. I would not recommend this item at all.

Geissele Mk16 M-Lok Super Modular Rail
Specifically wanted this Geissele rail for my new build. After winning the SOCOM contract with this model, I wanted to try something with the anti-rotation tabs. Once it’s installed, absolutely one of the best systems I’ve ever used. But…getting it installed had its potholes. First, the barrel nut was stuffed so tightly into the rail, it wouldn’t come out. I had to heat the rail and use a pick to remove the nut. Once removed it was obvious that the barrel nut had a pronounced sharp raised edge after final machining. Also, the threads for the anti-rotation tabs had excessive raised material as well. Used some crocus cloth to smooth done the edges and burrs, worked fine after that. The low profile barrel nut is awesome, no holes or serrations to line up for the gas tube. Last thing, MSRP for this rail is $350… it should the installation tool for this price point. If you have a spanner wrench set, you probably won’t need the Geissele tool. The finished product is outstanding but it took some extra effort to get it right.

Not like the others....

Viking Tactics Wide Padded Sling, Hybrid
This review is specifically for the Black Multicam version. I have other versions of this sling and it is my favorite sling; materials and quality are excellent and lots of adjustable elements. However the black multicam is NOT the same material as the others. The outer shell of the padded part feels thin and cheap; the padding is thinner and less firm compared to other slings I have in green or black. Unless you can’t live without this color scheme; save the $4 and get a better product with a standard black sling.

Not exactly as advertised

Got these for both the added capacity and as a method to quickly identify 300BLK magazines. They are more involved to install than it might appear unless you skip the roll pins. Recommend installing them from the bottom prior to sliding onto PMAG body. I had to slightly ream the holes just to get them started. Really tight fit. However i think the real issue is that I don’t consider these a working +5 extension. The 35th round is VERY tight in the mag and it absolutely will not load on a closed bolt. It also swells the PMAG body to the point that it doesn’t fall free cleanly. I downloaded two rounds to 33 and all is well. Since i went into it looking for a visual cue as well as added capacity - it does work. But there are some limitations.
