Well i got these in and placed them to my helmet for my BNVD 40. The seemed ok at first and on the flat range when i used them. Come forward just a couple months and the literally fell apart while road marching and i was only 3 miles in. They were tied off so nothing hit the ground but the small allen scews that hold parts together are long gone. Absolute trash, do not recommend
Well lets start with the good. The tubes are flawless with 0 blems anywhere. But..... the unit housing is the feeblest pice of junk ive ever spent thousands and thousands of dollars on. The dovetail mount showed up with 2 loose screws. No big deal. Myguess is they were barely 1-2 inch pounds tight at the most and that seems to be about where they set. I used a 1 inch pound driver and sheared the scew in half. So now i need to figure that out. Also the battery pack dovetail doesn't seem to fit in a standard dovetail mount so i jeed to fihure that out also.
Good tubes but for the cost, buy a different product.
Well, the upper is great and Griffin makes great guns, but only buy this upper if you want a pinned and welded muzzle device. Yes, I'm aware the answer in the questions says it's not, the one I was shipped 100% is. If that's what you want then this is 5 stars. If you don't want a pinned and welded upper, go to Griffin and buy it directly so you don't have to spend more money cutting through the weld to remove the muzzle device, assuming you have the correct equipment, which I do not.
This optic is a solid, full-size reflex. No, it's not the micro dots people are trending towards today, but this is a modern version of where it all started if you will. This has the vibes of the M68 reflex sight so many of us came up on, if you are looking to get into the red dot market and want quality and reliability, without having to spend 1000+ this is the sight to start with. If you know you want a micro, then move on, but the performance of this sight is greater than the performance of most shooyers.
I put this on a Walther PDP full size with a 5" barrel. The light is more than enough to properly illuminate any target i have shot at night as well as every room in my house.
The switch took very little getting used to but can be a slight learning curve if you are uses to the X300 stule switch.
