I bought the MDT long rail adapter because the OEM SAKO Arca Rail was not in stock. Unfortunately the long rail adapter does not fit the SAKO S20 Precision Stock. The MDT rail has fixed protrusions that do not correspond to the M-Lok slots in the SAKO stock. It's possible a shorter version of the MDT rail would work but I wanted the entire forend available for arca-type accessories. The MDT rail seems to be well built and would likely be a great option for other rifles it just didn't work for me in my specific application.

I ordered a twelve piece pack of these cross-bolt die lock rings. They DO NOT damage die threads like some other products and are very easy to loosen and adjust when necessary. Unfortunately one of the lock rings was manufactured with an out of position cross bolt. It was machined too close to the threads in the lock ring which did not allow threading the lock ring on to the die. I contacted Optics Planet and had a replacement lock ring in my hands in a matter of days at no cost. You can't beat that kind of customer service. Thank you Optics Planet!

I've been reloading on and off for 40 yrs and have used a very basic RCBS plastic/nylon funnel for most of that time. It worked but has its flaws like static electricity causing kernels of powder to stick, small neck size restricts returning powder back to the original container, must be held continuously while using i.e. it does not and cannot set on the neck of a cartridge. Like I said it works and I really didn't consider there might be something better. I've started reloading more rifle than handgun cartridges and that's where this funnel kit leaves my trusty ole RCBS waaaay in the dust. I tried a few other less expensive options like RCBS's Quick Change Funnel Kit and several caliber unique Satern aluminum funnels. They work okay but the RCBS kit is plastic so you're still dealing with static and the Satern funnel is one funnel per caliber. I load a bunch of different calibers so it would be almost as much or more $ for a collection of Satern funnels and they'd occupy a lot of valuable reloading bench real estate. So we have the Area 419...yep it's very expensive as far as funnels go but it really is useful enough and ticks ALL the boxes to justify its cost. If it matters to you it's a piece of art too.
