The glass is good, it does have illumination and parallax correction. Both the illumination and parallax controls are on the same knob up by the elevation control. I will say that the reticule is vertical relative to the scope housing, but somehow it looks canted in my eye so I recommend getting a level. The zoom is rather stiff, make sure you put that handle on good. It also comes with a 3.5 inch sunshield with threading on the inside for an ARD. At 3x the reticule is a crosshair. At 18x a noticeable chunk of the BDC stick and windage marks are out of the scope but you still have plenty to make it work unless you are shooting at a running cheetah at +400 yards.

Excellent scope

Some folks might complain about the eye box being 2.3 mm, but I had zero problems maintaining vision after shooting a 5.56. Glass is clear and the scope can be used for 1000 yard shots. Much better than a 1-6x LPVO where it is a stretch to hit anything past 800 yards. The moa reticule is great, the center dot is 0.8 moa and works well for me. Elevation is +- 50 moa and the BDC stick has an additional 30 moa. The turrets are a little stiff the first time you use them, but they have easy to feel clicks for adjustments when the guy next to you is blazing away with a 308.
