If you actually want to take you 10/22 TD backpacking this is a no-brainer. Everything is thought out and well-built.

I paired mine with the barrel optics mount also from Magpul.

Works as expected, would give five stars but my first one shipped without firing pin, kind of an important component in a firearm. Optics planet sent a replacement as soon as mine was dropped in the mail. Also kind of expensive for what you get, but worth it if you get it on sale.

PVD coating seems to hold up well and no light strikes from the firing pin, only about ~300 rounds though.

Honestly I’m still slightly torn between this and an EOTech EXPS but when it comes to bump in the night use this takes the cake with the ability to always leave it on. I’m purchased the no mount option (no mounting screws are included) and dropped it on a Unity Tactical riser, very easy and natural to aim down the sights.
