Review for BlackHawk Hip Holster w/Thumb Break 40HT
I bought this for my S&W M&P to be used as a hunting/range holster. The gun fits well but can still be removed with the retention strap going over the back of the slide. To get a secure hold the strap must go over the upper part of the back strap.

This Quad Rail is much lighter than aluminum and as rough on your hands. However it is also not as rigged. I find it excellent for mounting lights and vertical grips, but it would not make a good platform for a red dot or back up sight. Altogether it does everything I wanted it to do and I don't feel I need rail covers to protect my hand.
