This is an excellent gas tube with a quality finish that does not residue off and is more rigid than the Aero melonite gas tube. Spikes tactical is a decent company with a handful of exceptional items, this being one along with their crushed tungsten buffers, buffer system parts (steel castle nuts), lower part kits, and a couple others. Highly recommended

Aero does a decent job providing a market for budget friendly builds, and for the most part, they deliver a solid product for a fair price.
My issue is the QC on some products. I'm almost certain that Aero sends OP some of their demo stuff and we buy it 'as new' here. I've had stuff that looks prety used, or dumped in a pile with others instead of packing away separately once finished.

As for this tube, the finish was inconsistent. Some areas look polished and felt smooth, other parts looked dull and rough. Also, it did not bend properly into place and I was forced to lightly tap the gas block to get it to sit in. This marred up the barrel a bit which I just got custom PVD coated. I would purchase a BCM tube or if you like melonite finish, Spikes Tactical

As with all premium gun parts, I expect quality machining with a flawless finish. This ultimately leads to great function. This product delivered and I wouldn't hesitate to order again. Good company

Overpriced trash. If you plan on using this with a micro comp or PMM duty comp, do yourself a favor and use stock spring. It works fine and is way more reliable. The 3.9 barrel does not need all these unreliable pieces.

I personally use the DPM spring with an Ultra Comp on a sub compact barrel. It proves to be useful on that set up with different grains of ammo, plus the intricate set up of a short traveling slide that needs proper cycling. I have two of those and they work great. This however is definitely not reliable and will give you issues.

I can assure you, on a compact/carry, stick with stock weight and avoid multiple weak unrigid springs that will coil under duress and get caught...its crazy but these springs are too flimsy for longer slides. That can't hold their shape.
Sub compact is good, carry os too long. I wouldnt even dare mess with the full size with this cheap Greek manufacturing

Every now and then, Optics Planet will entice us with these incredible deals which often times may seem too good to be true. I've gotten some pretty cool stuff on some of these deals but I've also been the victim of defected items on some of these final sales. This item is no exception.

I usually stick with high-end function-first brands like BCM, Geiselle, LMT, etc. High end parts and basic colors.

Then you have your fancy marketing brands like Strike industries and Tyrant. These companies market themselves with fancy colors and futuristic space looking parts. Some work good and some are just whatever. I refer to these companies as the California brands...high fashion, but definitely not life dependable.

Sorry to make a short story so long. But the spring that came with my mag extension did not work on any of my five followers, Orange gen 5. This item was sold out everywhere, including the company's own website.Yet they had it here because it was simply defected. Optics does this on purpose sometimes and i hate it when they do

I ordered the Cryptic bronze and it looks pretty sensational. Haven't used it yet but it will be used to cycle 6.5 Creedmoor out of a 24 inch barrel. Product was in great condition but fell out of the package and was sitting loose in a box.

The spring is polished nicely , and of course excellent service by optics planet for handling a return as well. It's nice that we can still talk to humans with some companies. Nothing else to say but optics planet insists so FJB all day , everyday and power to the people.

Not to echo the previous review, but I 2nd everything the former mentioned. Slide is grainy af and their is way too much friction. I used 5 different slides on a 19 and thi one was problems. Utter garbage

So I'm not sure what has happened lately with the new production quality of these pressure pads. I have 2 of these lights mounted with a Cloud Defensive and Arisaka mount. My previous 2 have worked flawlessly on my rifles. But as of lately, I have returned 2 of these due to the pressure pad being very faulty. I ended up settling for the 3rd one because I just had to accept the fact that these are Chinese made and the last huge stock of them are all pretty crappy. The momentary part of the pad often makes this weird snappy noise and it sometimes stays stuck which is a huge liability. My previous 2 were perfect and that they were silent and they were always responsive. I would never trust this with my life and I'm almost sure this might be done on purpose considering where they are made. Shame

This thing is pretty incredible. I'm not sure how I was able to score one on here because as soon as I put it in my shopping cart, they were immediately put on extended back order. I feel really lucky now that I received it and actually used it. Radian make some of the best stuff and this product is no exception. This comp system works better than anything I used because they actually ported the barrel as opposed to threading it, and putting an over extended comp. The barrel itself is one of a kind with a bottom channel that allows you to attach the comp via a torx screw. The slide itself is very sleek and doesn't extend more than a G17. Cleanest profile I have ever seen. I wish Optics allowed for customer images because if you guys saw my toy, you would consider buying this. Glock barrel swaps won't work without tools, usually the case with comps. With that said, this is incredibly easy to install and take off, without timing or using a vice...huge plus. Also, on a side note I don't think you can shoot out of this barrel without the comp. At least based on what I see I wouldn't even attempt it. Cheers and happy hunting
