Perfect fit for my Savage 111 in 270 Winchester.

Written on Jul 09, 2024

I have been trying to find a couple more magazines for an older Savage model 111 without the accutrigger and wasn't finding any until I ordered these from OpticsPlanet. They fit and function and look exactly like the one that came in the rifle. I am very pleased with these new magazines. It is very nice to have a total of 3 magazines now for this Savage 111 in 270 win. I prefer to carry a couple of loaded magazines in my hunting jacket pockets than a box or loose cartridges rattling around while I am hunting. Thanks OpticsPlanet for offering these magazines!

Lots of fun in your 10/22 Plinker!

Installation was not too complicated. I followed the instructions to the letter and this Binary Trigger functions as advertised and is a lot of fun. I replaced my Ruger BX match trigger with this Binary Trigger and although I liked the 2-1/2# pull match trigger better for semi-auto shooting, the 4-1/2# pull of the Binary is acceptable for most shooting and I like having the Binary "Fun" mode to play with at the range. Overall, not a bad trigger and lots of fun.

Binary mode is fun, however11+ pund trigger pull is not too awesome for me.

Installed this Binary trigger in my Ruger PC9 Carbine, and based on previous experience with the Binary AR triggers I was hoping I would really like this Binary for the PC9 Carbine. I followed the installation instructions to the letter, and the trigger functioned properly, without function issues, however, the trigger I replaced was a sweet 2-1/2# pull trigger with a nice short reset and short travel. The new binary trigger semi-auto trigger broke at 11+ pounds! My trigger pull gauge only goes to 11 pounds, so I don't know exactly what the pull was, but although I like the Binary function of the trigger, the trade off was not for me. Your results and opinion may differ from mine, but, I prefer the 2-1/2# pull without the binary feature. I installed the 10/22 Binary trigger in my 10/22 Takedown rifle and the trigger pull was a little over 4 pounds, which is not as good as the Ruger BX match trigger at 2+ pounds, but 4 pounds is easily acceptable and having the binary feature with a 4 pound pull is great in the 10/22. I uninstalled the PC9 Binary trigger for now, but I will keep it in case I want to try it in another firearm in the future.
