Very good entry level compact lightweight spotting scope at reasonable price from reputable brand and with lifetime warranty. Easy to focus, clear image of objects distant 300 yards at 30X magnification.. Replaces cheaper lower quality scope. Main use for rifle target shooting at 100 and 200 yards at the gun range and for viewing wildlife at 300 yards max. I wear trifocals prescription eyeglasses and the collapsible eyecups are a must.

I owns several Leupold Gold Ring rifle scopes and I bought and am rating this scope based on my perceived value/price ratio and my satisfaction with the quality and customer service of Leupold Gold Ring optics versus optics of other brands in a similar price range. I own Swarovski and Leica optics and their performance is superior to that of this Leupold scope, but their price is exponentially higher and I do not need/want to lug around a $1K spotting scope to see .223 bullet holes at 100 yards and .270 and 300 caliber impacts at 200 yards
