2 year review

Written on Dec 26, 2020

I've had this thing for 2 years now and love it. I've carried it almost every day since then and it's been exactly what I want in an edc flashlight. I've given these as gifts to a couple guys who also carry them everyday and love them. I don't carry a weapon mounted light on my edc pistol so I opted for the coyote tan version. I can shoot with this handheld light just fine. It isn't an ideal light for handheld shooting techniques but it is a light that I'm willing to carry on my person all the time. I learned quick to not carry this with the pocket clip. The pocket clip will get snagged on everything and bend out easily (don't have this issue with my pocket knives). I still keep the pocket clip on the light however I just carry it inside the pocket now which is just fine. The light is durable too. Other than some honest wear of the aluminum it's just fine. I've had this thing accidentally submerged with no issues. I've washed it off in the sink after getting deer blood on it, no problem. I was even a bit tuned up one night around the campfire and accidentally threw the light in the fire along with a piece of firewood. Plucked it out of the fire quick with no damage. Yes there are other options, some even brighter and smaller. I like this light because it's simple, a good size, and because bright is the default setting every time I click the tail cap. It also holds it's charge for a good long while. In two years I've for sure charged it less than 10 times. W

Simple and very effective!

Been using this pouch for about 8 months. Great for range use, competition, duty use, carry under a jacket or button up shirt. It holds on to a belt very secure. The loops are adjustable for different size belts. Holds mags very secure but still allows for fast and efficient reloads. My favorite pistol mag pouch! It's simple and it works.

I thought long and hard before buying this on sale. It was between this acog and the ta33. This was my first acog and the most I've ever spent on an AR optic. The things I love.. compact size, light weight, crystal clear glass, acss reticle, generous eye relief, also the reticle is clear and defined to my eye, no batteries. So at first I wasn't sure about this thing. I got it in the mail and was very excited but when I opened the box and started messing with the optic I was less enthused. The reticle seemed a bit small, I was second guessing choosing green over red, when I tested it indoors in conjunction with a weapon light the light seemed to drown out all of the illumination of the reticle, I found myself wishing for more magnification like the 3x ta33. However I gave this thing the benefit of the doubt and put it through the paces before making up my mind. I've had this acog for 4 months now and have shot around 1,000 rounds with it mounted on two different rifles. I've shot this thing in every shooting position, around barriers, while moving, on steel/paper silouetes, on small plates, at night, from distances of 10-175yds. I recently did a couple very fun days of shooting with two good friends of mine. All 3 of us are competent tactical shooters who use those skills in our professional lives. We are very competitive with one another taking turns making up drills and stages to test our limits and try and beat ourselves as well as one another. I was using this optic and

Lives up to the hype

Bought this on a great sale by optics Planet. Just mounted it it in an ADM qd mount and put 100 rds down range. BTW if you do buy the ADM 1/3rd co-witness mount it won't actually co-witness because the battery being in the base of the optic makes the base slightly taller than a T1. I don't care about co-witness however so I like the ADM qd mount. I love it so far and as long as it holds up that won't change.

I love ADM mounts!

I got this for a TA44 which it works great for. I ended up buying the 6mm spacer for this mount because it was a little too low for my preference. I think the Midwest industries mount comes at the height I would have liked but that was sold out when I purchased this. Now with the 6mm spacer added I love the mount and will keep it. I have ADM mounts on all my AR optics.

Great mount

The other reviewer was right. I bought this mount for a holosun 503bu as well before reading his review. I think I actually got the same mounts that he sent back, which is fine. I am keeping the mount though because I like a high mount for red dots and I'm not concerned with co-witness. I have ADM mounts on all of my AR optics!

Exactly what I wanted!

Small, light, durable, very well designed and thought out. Holds all the essentials for a small ifak. I bought just the molle compatible pouch and packed it with my own med supplies. So far I've used it on molle, on a normal belt, and shoved it in the water bottle pouch for a mountain climbing trip. All methods work great. I have a rats tourniquet, frog tape, nasal airway, decompression needle, combat gauze, normal compressed gauze, and chest seals packed into this little guy. It seems like a tight squeeze but it all fits fine. I wasn't able to fit an emergency bandage in the kit because they are kind of large. But I figure that I would just use my rats as an improvised badage to hold pressure on the gauze if necessary. Or maybe a bandanna. Long story short, this is exactly what I needed in a small kit.

Not the muzzle device I deserve, but the one that I needed!

I built a pretty cool 10.3" upper.. and was on the verge of selling it. I had gone with a standard A2 birdcage which was the only thing I cheaped out on for the build. It was a fine little gun but just a little too snappy for my taste. Maybe I'm just spoiled with my longer BCM rifles that shoot like a dream. Long story short I bought this muzzle device and it completely changed my Outlook on my little 10.3" upper. Since I installed this product I've only been shooting this rifle. It's flat and fast to shoot. I haven't shot it around other yet but it doesn't seem overly loud or annoying to me. I noticed a day and night difference!! I'm so glad I bought this device because I was going to get the BCM mod0 which costs more and pry would have given less compensation. It's hard to tell which gun is flater shooting, my 14.5" BCM with the mod1 device or my 10.3" with this product! It's on a 10.3" ballistic advantage Hansen barrel if that matters to anyone. Also very easy to install!

I ordered the gunslinger 2 over the gunslinger 1 because I ended up getting a really good deal on this pack. I like that this model has the front opening option, has 2 vertical compression straps instead of just one, and has a water bottle pouch on each side of the pack. That being said I prefer the lumbar pad on the older model over this one. I also wish the empty weight wasn't so heavy at 8.2lbs although it wasn't a deal breaker. I also find that the shoulder straps are a little too wide and if I don't have the sternum strap buckled they will definitely slide outward on me pretty far(I'm 6'2" 185lbs). I never seemed to notice the shoulder straps being too wide on the gunslinger 1, but I do notice with this pack. The waist belt is great on this pack, it does a good job of transferring the load to your hips when properly tightened. The way the waist belt straps tighten is a great design as well. I've found that when I have this pack loaded to 45lbs or less I can comfortably carry that load essentially all day through either flat or hilly terrain. Any more weight than that and I find myself constantly messing with the adjustments of the straps in an attempt to get comfortable. I find it to be a little on the small side but kind of the perfect size because I often find myself packing light and suffering through the elements anyway. If you were to use this in a military mission set you would probably have room to pack for a 48hr recon mission... maybe even 72hrs if yo

I put this trigger in an spr build. It is made out of high quality materials, was easy to install, and has a nice clean 2nd stage break after a short 1st stage take up. I paid $198 for this trigger after a discount code and the reason I give it 4 stars in that it's just not quite as crisp as I thought it would be. I have a rock river 2 stage trigger in my other ar and in my opinion that trigger is just as good if not better than this one for half the price.
