TN Black Frost from United States, TN Public Profile
9mm, 124 grain, Hydra-shok, are very accurate in my Glock 19. I have carried these for years and they have been standard issue for quite a few police and Sheriff offices.
In 38-Special. This is about 85% of what I reload. I shoot them out of a S&W 64, and a S&W 637. I load them at listed start load for Hodgden Universal powder. I get an extremely accurate round that is not punishing to shoot even if the light air-frame snubbie. These bullets are well lubricated and when loaded correctly, they are not terrible at leading the barrels. This round makes me look good at the range. And the nice round clean holes it cuts in paper targets cant be beat.
Yes, this is expensive 22LR, but it is not price gouging. I can see where someone used to buying 500 rounds for the price of 2 boxes of Tenex might think such, but they would be wrong. This stuff fills a nitch and fills it great. Some of us take the 22LR seriously. This is a fantastic match round. It isn't a squirrel round, and it isn't a plinking round. It is an ultra reliable, and accurate, 22LR round for matches. In addition, it is an exceptionally clean round. Yes, I shoot some of the cheap stuff as well. But not if there is a stopwatch around, and my score is being tabulated.
