Super versatile

Written on Mar 08, 2025

I made the complete switch from g-code rti to rapid force. Not that rti is bad by any means but i decided to make the change after having multiple minor problems with hardware and tolerance fitting. this Rapid force adapter plate is pretty darn versatile but you Must source your own additional hardware to make it work. If i had to pick something critical about it it would be that you can't adjust ride height unlike cant angle. Adding some countersunk holes for that ability wouldn't have cost much more in plastic but it would affect overall size so keep that in mind. Rest assured you will be able to use your safariland holster with the rapid force adapter if you decide. Solid product

great front sight

trijicon owns ameriglo so you know that you are still getting a great quality product. the black ring is stealthy

my favorite rear sight

Written on Feb 22, 2025

if you don't mind a u-notch rear this one is fantastic for lower 1/3 or 1/5 witness with a pistol optic. minor hand fitting required as usual but take your time and it will be perfect. It will fit for irons rear or irons forward. Not a bad price either. either .451 or .395 will get you a great backup co-witness.

Still magpul quality good

Written on Nov 28, 2024

I just got mine in the mail after a lengthy back order. From all the available reviews and research as of 11/24, information is spot on. Magpul has already released a manufacturer video on what to expect from these mags. Long story short expext 95-100% (figuratively speaking) the same durability and performance as gen3 pmags. IMHO nothing is greater than okay industries metal mags but they quit the game. Of all of the polymer mags available, tmags still fit at the top percentage of quality. Best feature is being able to confidently verify/identify bullet types at a glance after they've been stuffed full; especially if you shoot 300 & 223. Every other feature is novelty really as long as they work. Place a back order and save a few pennies then patiently wait. Otherwise i wouldn't expect prices to come down on these for years.

The only dimpled pins or OEM pin alternatives you should buy

Written on Oct 01, 2024

After purchasing crappy Cross Armory dimpled pins and returning them I decided to give L2D pins a try. I'm sorry i wasted my time with the others because these are perfect. First impressions, installation tollerances, and the nitide like coating tell me these will last just as long as OEM (as long as there is no random bad heat treat). Do yourself a favor... Don't waste your time with any other frame pins. Yes, I know, I knooww, "dimpled pins are not necessary". OEMs work fine and glocks are tools "who cares about a scratch"...BUT if you want some extra flare for your build, have the extra money and are considering these, OR maybe even have a not-so-steady hand/get in a rush when pushing out pins occasionally like me. Look no further.

Probably good for range use only

Written on Aug 28, 2024

Just got these in the mail. Aside from the advertised difference to the new product, I'll share one extra. The mag base plates are no longer exactly like oem glock mags. Specifically the plastic locking bumps are no longer there. The springs seem to be much tighter than the previous version out the gate. Jamming #15 into the mag is a hassle worse than oem. My two mags drop free loaded or unloaded which is nice. I saw one other user post online report his follower bro. Other than that it appears to be solid. These are delegates to rang mags only until they prove solid.

I do not recommend for gen5

Written on Aug 22, 2024

I just purchased and received my Cross Armory Black dimpled pins for gen5. I will not wholeheartedly recommend these to anyone. I tested these pins on two separate frames. Oem Glock 19.5 snd Nomad Defense 19.5. The locking block pins are now noticeably looser than OEM Glock pins after install. I'm also noticing some chipping to the coating too. Both sets of CA pins DO seem to click-lock in place, but the CA pin diameter is smaller and not as tight as an OEM Glock pin. There IS a bit more slop with hole gap and side to side play. Would it function? Yeah, probably. But looser tolerances can lead to problems down the road from vibration. It feels like more wasted money to me and another learning lesson/reminder I thought about in the back of my head and didn't need. Buyers be warned.

unenthusiastic first impression

Written on Apr 22, 2023

I have not tested this barrel. This is first impressions and optics planet review. I received my combo after a 5month backorder from Nov 2022. It did ship fast 3 days total via ups. The barrel is 99.9% good minus a tiny nick the size of a needle head directly in the middle of the feed ramp. Its barely noticeable with a fingernail pass. Im hoping it will polish or wear in. Overall very unique design. For me, this design is most desirable because it eliminates traditional set screws, minimizes stripped threads and "walking" muzzle devices. we'll see. Nothing is perfect. Price is insane

Absolutely best contender against the Trijicon RMR

Written on Nov 19, 2019

I will state one thing first. I purchased the 508t-gr (green version). I do not know if it's exactly the same as the 508t-rd (red version) but I fully assume it is. So I'll try to keep this short...There are a few notable upgrades over the 507c for sure. Mainly the material, and weight being the most talked about. However the one major change (not mention in the manual )holosun made, is with the brightest setting.

With the 507c you had zero adjustment to illumination in auto mode. I purchased a 507c and it had 3 extremely feint, almost negligible, adjustments in auto mode. Now with the 508t (at least my green unit), you now have full adjustability in auto mode. Example: In auto mode you can now set your illumination brightness to level 4. Additionally, now, the optic will no longer drop to a lower brightness if you move into a dim/dark area. It will adjust up for direct sunlight, but not down below what you set.

This one small change has me absolutely in love with the optic. Now, i have not tested the unit see if auto and manual mode have individual brightness memory. But it does retain the brightest memory after "shake awake".

The last thing I feel is worth mentioning is the 508t-gr (specifically) has ZERO blue tint due the green diode. This makes the glass crystal clear to MY eye. I thought the 507c glass was extremely clear but the green version just blew me away again.

Overall I'm super happy i got the 507c and ecstatic that that i got my hands on the 508t-gr. This op

I justify this purchase because I personally have a certain criteria that my ear protection must meet.
1. traditional ear pro squeezes my head causing a headache after a few hours
2. electronic and easily portable
3. rechargeable
Bluetooth was just an add on.
these ear pieces do a great job of reducing harmful noise while still giving you ambient awareness. don't buy these for the Bluetooth as it drops off some times. the modes for hearing could be better but manual control is great without it.
