Best Buds Yet.
Written on Jan 27, 2026
I've tried a couple of ear buds now and these are the best so far. Wide range audio levels, from noise cancellation to sound amplification. Noise canceling doesn't work as well as you would hope, but it does deaden things down. Problem is you can always hear something. Sound amplification works quite well. Turned all the way up, I can hear the cat scratching in the other room. Down side here is you hear your heart beat too. Though I'm thinking of trying to use a directional microphone via the BlueTooth and see how that works. I used them for a conference call everyone said I sounded normal and I think the call went better for me as I could hear clearer what was going on. I haven't been shooting with them yet, but some quick testing (slapping a book on a desk), the clamping was quick. I did notice that when I first put them on, it would clamp down on many loud-ish sounds, but it seemed to learn over time not to do that unless it was a real loud event. Be patient getting the fitting right. Try a tip for a bit and see how it goes, I had to use a different size in each ear. I would like a phone app where I could change the EQ or better manage the BT binding. At full amplification it could use a selectable low pass filter to cut some hiss from inside room echo.
