Up to this point I liked Hogue for their grips... in fact the overmolded beavertail is my favorite grip! Now after taking my Hogue Overmolded Buttstock out of the box I have decided that I Love them! The stock is solid, looks great, feels great in your hands with that familiar feeling of finding an old friend. Its got a nice heft to it which feels right on my 16"carbine and 20" rifle. Its a bit too heavy for an AR pistol but that's not why I bought it. This is a better stock then the $200 models that I have tried and I recommend this to all. A big Thumbs Up!

This is a nice after market addition to some of my AR's. It looks good and the extra hand support feels right especially on my long guns...BUT... yes, there is always a "but". It does not fit on my Aero Precision lowers which have a very nice flared out edge to the magazine well. However, after two quick passes with a 1/4"cutting bit on my Dremel tool I removed about 1/16" of material on the interior groove on the small end of the grip. This groove wraps around the lip of the magazine well and keeps the grip securely fastened to the lower receiver when the three screws are tightened. It now fits on my 80% lowers which only have a lip and are not flared out like the AP lowers. So, I would recommend this to some but not all as a lot of people don't feel like taking a Dremel tool to expensive parts. I do wish that they had this in the description for people to make a better decision about buying this product.
