The pin that holds the latch in was installed halfway and bent. This is a simple part. How do you miss the only moving part. The only thing this good for is a dibbe. Do not waste your money. The handle also looks bent.

Value priced handguard

This a great price compared to other hands guards costing two or three time the price of this one. This is a decent hand guard. The finish was not the best ,but acceptable. After I sprayed it down with w-40 and wiped it clean it looked a lot better. It is light weight and comfortable. It is advertised that it can be installed with any standard AR wrench. I didn't find this to be the case. I have a Brownell AR Armorers wrench and was not able to fit it on the barrel nut. I had to find and purchase an 1 3/16 crowfoot wrench to install the barrel nut. A crowsfoot will run $20-$35 dollars.
