Safariland is the standard for quality
Written on Dec 13, 2020
As stated Safariland is the highest quality holster on the market. It is the most intuitive design, draws are smooth, and the retention just works. If you get one you will probably stick with them. The price is not a bargain and for quality products it never will be.

Excellent Optic for the Money
Written on Oct 12, 2020
+ I have purchased two of these optics, and one for my father.
+ The build quality is excellent.
+ Very rugged.
+ There are two mounts/bases available a low and a high. The short is great for general use. The tall mount is standard height that accommodates AR magnifiers (Holo-Sun, Vortex, etc...)
+++ I was a NinComPoop and ordered the short base by accident from another site. At the time the optics were still very new and Black Spider was marketing the bases by themselves. I contacted Cole Leleux and he sent me the appropriate mount for a few bucks. Excellent customer service.
+ Battery life is more than adequate with lithium AAA's.
- In low light the dot does have the potential to have a starburst or halo effect.
(meh) In normal light it is fine.
- This optic would be much better in 25mm - 30mm (Spikes ... are you listening? It's 2020 we likes'em thicccc)
+ I have not been kind to these optics either. They have taken a beating in the back of a side by side, a truck, hanging from a tractor seat, many trips to the range, and I have yet to lose zero.
+ I have good success using loctite OR heavy grease on the threads (with proper torque) and have never had one fall off. Generally I would recommend loctite for a permanent fixture, and heavy grease if you're going to be fiddling and tinkering. Adjustments are simple.
= Scope caps are small and black so they can be lost. Get yourself a magnet bowl or equivalent.
+ (flathead) slotted screwdriver, the adjustmen

Excellent idea. Poor Design
Written on Oct 10, 2020
If you look at these sights you will notice that they are a 45 degree offset from the rail, not the barrel. I'm not shooting bullets out of the rail. This fails to put the sight directly over bore. The build quality and visibility were excellent. If XS would just make some regular notch and post sights, that mount to a picatinny rail, without an offset they would be perfect.
