It’s a fine bipod and well made. I use it for bench shooting and purchased the pod to replace another pod that had no lock/clutch for the bipod canting. This unit has a handle in front to synch down the cant, but it does NOT lock-down. I am told you don’t want the cant to lock down completely by other target/match shooters, however I find it frustrating to constantly have to realign after every shot. That consequence means you really need an anti-cant indicator on your rifle like an MK bubble or MDT Send It to monitor. For 100 yards and less, likely no issue at all. However, it is good to get in practice to know the orientation of your barrel, especially if you are using magnified optics and will be eventually pursuing targets out to greater distances. A stable platform is critical for the longer range where other products (including bags) might support better results (understanding that 95% of the shot, is the shooter.) Regardless, I like the Atlas BT65-LW17 CAL and use it regularly. It is lite, has a good pic rail quick attach and much much better than competitors in the same price range.

Great tool and installs to your rail in just a couple of seconds. It is very well made so I never have to worry about dropping it. The metal finish is tough and does not mar easily. This product is definitely worth the money. Also, buying from Optics Planet is a good choice. I got the short leg sniper version first, but it didn’t meet my setup needs. OP took the product back without an issue, and swapped in the longer legged version. Great customer service through Email and very responsive. They are a great company.
