It turns out I like second focal plane

Every scope I've ever bought has been a first focal plane. I have two super expensive Nightforce scopes, a Sig FFP LPVO and a bunch of other lesser scopes. All first focal plane. I thought that was best. But I decided to try this SFP and I actually like it better than the others. Don't know exactly why, but I do.

I ordered the automatic green dot version from Optics Planet. The dot wouldn't change intensity and I couldn't see it in the daytime. I returned it and bought the manual red dot version. Looked much better, but it wouldn't shake to wake. I couldn't make this thing wake up with a stick of dynamite if I tried. So now I'm returning #2 and exchanging it for a replacement.
This is disappointing because I have a number of other Swampfoxes and they all work great. This particular model has been terrible.

I like my other Swampfoxes, but not this one.

I bought the automatic green dot. It had a terrible reflection in the screen that made it difficult to see my target. Also, the auto intensity didn't seem to work, and the green dot was washed out in the daytime. I had to look for it every time.
