Gen 5 issues but all good

I saw all of the negative reviews for the gen 5s and still decided to give this slide a chance for my G19. At first I was having failure to feed issues where the round would get jammed under the firing pin. I swapped out the channel liner w a factory Glock part and it runs flawless now. Looks amazing too.

Smoothest buffer spring for the price. The instructions say to lightly coat them with lithium grease. I think that’s to keep the finish smooth. They are absolutely silent in all of my builds. I’ve used the extra power spring in my over-gassed carbines with H3 buffers and they eat up any ammo I put in them. I put JP polished springs in EVERY AR platform I own.

VERY VERY Tight fit on the barrel nut. Fabrication had to be done to make it fit. THEN I noticed the QD holes were never drilled in the one that was sent to me. Noticed it after fabricating so I can’t swap it. Is it an early model? One of the first ones ever made? Who knows but I’m stuck with it. Still a good handguard. Fits great on a 10.5” barrel but would be PERFECT for a 10.3. May even swap to a 10.3 just to get that peffect fit.
