Awesome product! All the ports along both sides do an excellent job in assisting to expend gases... supposed to work great with suppressed shooting. I bought these at the recommendation of my local gun shop as I am preparing my rifles for when my suppressor stamps come in. They advised in multiple ways to reduce gas and this was the first thing they recommended. The handle Feels great- right or left handed. Looks great as well! Bought multiple of these for all of my guns

I purchased the Type 2 in Flat Dark Earth (FDE) to mount on my new FN 509 Tactical. Purchase experience was excellent - I called to ask a question about the product and the representative was incredibly helpful... so much so, that I purchased over the phone immediately. Received the sight after only a few days and immediately mounted it. Everything looked perfect. Problem occurred after the first 5 rounds at the range - the red dot suddenly looked mis-shapen and not a smooth dot. The local gun shop showed me that the emission window had popped out. He said the same thing had happened to him with his FDE coated Trijicon RMR, so he knew immediately what the problem was. I had not even noticed the tiny lens was gone. I was disappointed, but Trijicon made the solution simple. One phone call and I had everything I needed to return the sight for a repair. The Trijicon rep stated that they have had some problems with the adhesive for the emission window binding to the FDE coating they use on these sights. I understood him to say that they are not seeing this issue on the black model. I followed up with an email to Trijicon repair department asking if this would be a continuous problem I would face with the FDE model and they stated that they would do their best to fix the issue. I'm looking forward to getting the sight back and testing it once again.
