Ameriglo front sight on SIG P320 .45 compact
Written on Mar 25, 2025
I replaced the front SIGLITE nightsight on my EDC P320 compact because it was difficult for my old eyes to see it in medium/low light conditions. The Ameriglo bright orange square is easy to acquire and fits nicely between the rear SIG sight posts. The tritium dot is as bright as the original sights. Point of impact was raised slightly at 10 yards, which I was hoping for. (Original front sight was #6, Ameriglo is #8). I had my local gunshop install it for me and it took him all of 5 minutes. (I previously changed sights on my HK, and I didn't what that experience again!). I would definitely recommend this Ameriglo sight!

XS DXT2 Big Dot Yellow Night Sights

Review for
XS Sight Systems DXT2 Big Dot Sight HK
I put these on my HK P30. Installation was fairly simple with the right tools. I first tried removing the original sights with a vise and punch setup, but I wasn't happy with that. Then I used a sight tool to remove/install the sights. Pretty easy. The new front sight needed a little filing to get it to fit halfway, then I used the sight tool to center it. The new rear sight slides in and then is fastened in place with a small set screw. I used the included Loctite at the end. I took it to the range for a quick tryout. The front sight is easy to acquire, as expected. The rear sight line is not very prominent, but didn't affect my shooting. Accuracy was good enough for defensive purposes, but there will be a learning period to gain accuracy with the new sights. I didn't expect it to be "Tack Driver", and that's not what I need from these sights. They are very good for your dedicated self defense weapon. The sights are very bright in a completely dark room. Overall I'm happy with the sights, and I'm thinking of putting a set on my Beretta.
