OK I wanted to replace my really good factory fiber optic sights with night sights for all around use on this multi functional pistol. I was always a "3 dot guy". Then tried these....I'm sold on the Idot / figure eight / whatever you call it sight set up.

FIRST...they are very simple, the eye just can't help but to be attracted to the very bright (more yellowish than green) front post. SECOND...the rear sight's "dot" has no color ring around it, helping with my first point. THIRD...the U shape notch rather than the square notch in the rear sight helps "cradle" the round front dot and used with a flat, level, straight across top of both sights works super for more precise shooting, and by simply working in combo stacking the one dot on top of the other works better than I imagined for slow fire.

I actually had a few air pistols around that I "mocked up" the sights on to mimic these and others I was interested in with bright greenish fishing lure paint, even during this "mock up" the configuration really worked for me.

The tritum vials glow VERY brightly, and with the larger in front / smaller in back, its easy to find that front sight and align with the rear without much trouble at all.

When I first took them out of the package, I thought maybe I wasted money as the yellowish / green circle in front didn't seem all that impressive, so I took it outside in sunlight. BOY ARE THEY BRIGHT!

Here's the surprising shocker...as I walked back in the house, I noticed the front sigh

First time using the Hogue sling, don't know if it's a Claw Knockoff, or supplied by the same manufacturer to both distributors. But the Hogue is lower priced than the comparative.

Rifle stays in place, enough "give" and comfort in the rubberish overmold, but not too much. Plus the rubber doesn't retain moisture like a few other stretchy slings.

For suggested improvements (though really nit-picking)- it could use another buckle on the traditional bottom of the sling, maybe stipling like the Hogue stocks have on the shoulder contact side, a 1.5" version would be great, and a white color would be awesome, the slots in the overmold picks up small debris and collects snow (as most slings do anyway) but are easily taken care of by blowing or brushing off. This is the only reasons for 4 stars rather than five, if you are not that picky, then it's 5 stars.

But still a very usable sling for the price preferring it to another well known "stretchy sling" i've always used, either muzzle up or down while carrying. Also more stable / sturdy when using the sling in positional shooting than the "stretchy slings".

Worth getting another.

I think the quality of uncle mike's is starting to slip a bit. They were my go to swivels, but now am looking for another manufacturer.

the locking mechanism seems "cheezier" (thinner and not as tight) than they used to be, once "locked" in place there is a bit of play (unlike the swivels made a few years ago). The swiveling and alignment of the "loop" and pins isn't as spot on as they once were either.

Perhaps I just got a bad set, but they don't seem as solid as they used to be. They are usable, but in the back of the mind there's some doubt about the quality of today's product vs. just a few years ago.

***Checked the not recommended as the quality of this set of swivels just seems off, i don't know if it's the way they are made today or just a bad set...

3 Rails for the price, how can you beat it?

Not used on a G36, but as an accessory rail on a Bolt action. Comes with mounting hardware, (hex screws) but you probably will have to get your own hardware for anything else than use on a G36.

Holds my predator light in place, is true picatinny sized slots. Aluminum can be cut / shaped to your needs. If only needing a few slots here and there, you end up with twice or three times as many mounting points with cutting and drilling your own holes.

sling studs (threaded type with nut) will also fit in / through the holes, though you may have to shim the stud higher with a washer or two for clearance depending on how you are installing.

flat bottoms, no tapering, not as sharp ended as other rails though the use of a rail cover is always suggested to protect the rail, your skin, and your equipment from snagging.

Bottom line it's hard to beat for the price, if you need rails, these are worth it.

I bought one, used it as a trial for hunting and range (hot, cold, wet and snow), liked it enough i bought 6 more for my other rifles.

Once adjusted properly, the form fit and function are great, especially for the price vs. other similar products by other companies (of which i also have used, can't tell much difference).

Yeah it's a knockoff, BUT - no problem with the zipper or stitching, hook and loop stays good, check pad stays soft and comfy (takes out a little felt recoil on the cheek). You can remove or relocate the outside & inside shell holders via hook and loop.

If the retaining straps are too long, cut with scissors, singe ends to keep from fraying, tuck in for a tight install.

If you need more height, add a cut spacer from foam, mousepad, etc and tuck on top stock and between pack to give it a higher profile for eye / cheek alignment to optic.

Some rifles you may have to set pack back more than you would like as there may be interference when cycling the bolt.

The side pocket (if you desire) can hold a small tool kit, ammo, monocular, small wind meter, or extra magazine, or a combo of many of those items. Have also used it to hold a remote for predator calls, and adding a heat pack inside keeps trigger / grip fingers warm in cold weather.

It's also not too bulky or gets hung up, not rain / wet proof, but you can spray a water repellant to help with items stored in the pocket.

It is a handy item to have, and worth getting one even to try.

I've used these rings before on rimfires & spring / air piston airrifles with no issues, now using on a centerfire (.243) still no issues after 100+ rounds.

The look and finish is nice for that "tacticool look" while not being junky just for looks and are functional. Comes with non slip tape on the inside of the ring, an extra screw, and 2 allen style wrenches (one for the top strap screws, one to adjust the tension on the lever). Though called a "Picatinny" ring, it fits a weaver slot, so not actually a Pic rail size. No movement though on the weaver slot, just bump up against the ridge opposing directions on a Picatinny, they stay put. The cross bolt seems beefier than most HD rings by other manufacturers in this price range, i've had other manufacturer's at twice the price strip out before torque settings where reached, no problem with the Leapers / UTG.

Easy to remove and reinstall, with return to zero. No scope slippages / creep, keeps the scope in place very well when leveling reticle during installing.

Rings are hefty, if trying to build a lightweight or "smooth" appearing rifle, you may want to consider another ring, but if that's not a concern they are pretty fine for the price.

Keep in mind the "low height" is more toward other ring's medium size, they are about a size higher than other rings for the 6 screw variety w/ QD option.

Have had no issues with them either on the rim or centerfire, is my "go to" ring as they have performed even better than rings twi
