Stil a great holster

Review for
Bianchi 19L Thumbsnap Belt Slide Holster
I have been a fan of these holsters for 30 years. Its the only holster I trust. Nice leather. Quality construction. Just make sure you treat the leather with leather oil (I like Obenaufs) to soften it, especially the strap.

Very Disapointed

Review for
Urban Carry LockLeather OWB Holster
I have always been a Bianchi fan. I purchased this for my 1911. The stitching is sub par and not nearly as good as Bianchi. The leather is also thinner and the holster "collapses" when you pull your pistol making it hard to get it back in. I'm disappointed in how the "latch" works. There is no positive click and it seems to secure only half the time. If I had my choice, I would not have purchased this.

Very Impressive Scout Scope
Written on Mar 23, 2019
I bought the Vortex Scout Scope and returned it. I purchased the Nikon Force XR and sold it. The vortex had poor glass and terrible eye relief. The Nikon is a handgun scope (I know) but I thought I could mount it forward enough to work. Didn't work for me. I looked at the Leupold FX-II and almost bought it but I really wanted more that 2.75#. So I went with the Burris. Very impressed from the time I opened the box. Solid. Amazingly clear. Perfect Eye Relief for a Scout scope. I mounted this forward of the ejection port on my Mini-14. Looks great. Great image quality. Well balanced. It also has a great warranty and good reputation. The eye relief did not change between 2-7 power. Easy on the eyes. Quick site picture. No I have not shot it, so I don't know yet if it will hold zero. If it doesn't I will update the review. Do yourself a favor and try this. I have always been a Leupold fan, but I'm now liking Burris.

Simple the best scope for the money
Written on Feb 15, 2019
This scope is basically a VX-2 scope for the price of a VX-1 or Rifleman. Crystal clear glass. CDS option. Scratch resistance lens. Leupold warranty. Great eye relief. Simply nothing in that price range comes close. I think its better than the $499 Nikon Monarch 3 I just sold after buying this and comparing them side by side. The only thing I don't like is the styling on the windage/elevation caps and the magnification right. Very ugly. Also not a fan of the printed L vs the Leupold logo, but these are cosmetics. Really the best scope you can find under $400.

Great Scope at Low Magnification
Written on Feb 15, 2019
I purchased this for a long range build. All the features of the scope are great. I love the custom turret. The fact that you can dial multiple revolutions without losing your place. The glass is clear. It has a great side focus for parallax. Great build quality. Where this scope losses out is at magnification above 8x. Once you get above 8x and all the way to 16x the scope gets increasingly cloudy and the eye relief become much more sensitive. The slightest movement will cause you to lose your sight picture. If this scope was for medium range it would be fine, but the 10-16x adjustment is nearly useless. I opted for a Leupold Mark AR MOD 1. Better glass and eye relief. Also much lighter than the Nikon.

Great quality heavy duty rail. Wrong picture for Tikka
Written on Feb 05, 2019
Review for
Leupold Mark 4 One Piece Scope Mount
Great value and quality rail. Be aware the Tikka mount is not as pictured. It is a straight Picatinny style rail with slots the fully length. Comes with 8 screws, four 6-48 and four 8-40. I will be using this to mount a 6-18x40 scope on my T3X.

Dark, limited FOV
Written on Jan 01, 2019
I bought this for a mini 14 scout rig. It's going back. Feels cheap, but worst of all is the glass. Very dark. Short eye relief for a scout scope. Not to be used with a semi-auto unless you want brass hitting your eye piece. If you are looking for a scout scope check out the Nikon Force XR.
