IFC 410 UPPER is AWESOME!!!

Written on Dec 25, 2022

IFC 410 UPPER is AWESOME!!!
I have quite a bit of trigger time on these uppers and I must say this again… They are AWESOME!!! I first purchased one of the early releases, August 2018 here on Optics Planet and have had the opportunity to run about 450+ rounds through it. Heck, I loved it so much, I eventually picked up this version as well which was equally as reliable and a pure joy to shoot.
The IFC .410 upper is really a Great Buy!! Quality is very good for what it is....) I currently have about 700 total rounds total between the 2 uppers using various brands/weights/types of ammo. Unlike other companies previous attempts, THIS ONE REALLY WORKS!! The platform is very reliable!!! (I only had one hangup during the first 150 rounds mixing Monarch #8, Remington #7 ,and Remington slugs in the same 15rd magazine.) Other than that, this thing didn't miss a beat!!! (The lower had a standard-factory M4 buffer and spring.) The key to reliability in these is to remember that not all 2.5" shells are the same length. (The Winchester AA 2.5" were a little long for the magazines and didn't feed well.) **The Remington's, Estate, Herter's, and Monarch brand from Academy 2.5" shells ran beautifully without a hitch. The included choke tubes are great for dialing in on small game!! Great 2.5” Slug Gun too!!
Pro Tip: Don’t buy bulk ammo until you’ve tried it to make sure it runs through the mag. Another tip would be…. If you’re in a store, and need a shell to confirm the length of ano

SightMark Ultra Shot Plus Reflex site : (YES)

Written on Dec 20, 2022

SightMark Ultra Shot Plus Reflex site.

So far, so good!! Very “EOTECH-LIKE”….
The ultra-wide window makes running and gunning super easy with both eyes open. Field of view is great! The red & green dots are bright enough for daylight shooting. (I like to leave the Red dot set at a lower setting and the green all the way up for quick transitioning from indoors to outdoors. (It can be swapped with one push of a button to the preset brightness.)
I have used this model on a couple guns and they have been reliable. 5.56, 300BLK, 9mm .410 Shotgun Note: I have not done the splash/rain test. (These are not waterproof, just splash resistant.)
I have noticed the reason some people have given negative ratings is because they do not know how to use the provided flat wrench to adjust for a tight fit on their rail. For me, only 1 of 3 had to be tightened/adjusted to my rail for a tight fit but after that, no problem. (They are all tight and hold ZERO.) Also note: There is a large release lever on the side of the optic that some have shared concerns about, possibly getting hooked on a branch or something. I could see this as an unlikely but possible issue so I used a small strip-tie and locked mine in place. (Cheap Insurance) Some have also commented that they have no idea what the side rail is for. I can tell you what works well. (A Pistol Light) I have one that easily clicks on and off the front of my Glock and it works well on the side of this optic. Small profile offeri

GSG 5P - ah...YES!! (With modifications to the brace and gun.)

Written on Jun 29, 2019

This is truly a great product!! It will make your GSG 5 pistol one of your favorite guns to shoot!!! If done right, it will raise the value, accuracy, and functionality of your gun!! > This can be fitted with a Dremel tool-grinder and power drill to the GSG 5P with modifications to both the inside of the brace cup and the pistol grip lower. (Best to have done by a gun smith unless you are comfortable doing the work yourself.) I did my own work and it turned out perfect. Note: Make sure you don’t remove to much material when grinding the inner cup or it will not fit firmly on your gun. The mod to the actual gun is simply drilling the pinhole in the plastic for the larger HK stock push pin. (You will need to buy the standard HK push pin separately.)

OWNERS UPDATE: “IFC .410 ARU AR-15 UPPER was a huge Surprise!!!“ (5 Stars)!!!

OWNERS UPDATE: “IFC .410 ARU AR-15 UPPER was a huge Surprise!!!“ (5 Stars)!!!
*Added a Red Dot = 10 out of 10 skeet clays BUSTED without need for reloading!!!!
After getting more field time with this product… I must say… I am truly impressed with the IFC .410 ARU AR-15 UPPER as well as the company’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction!! In my first review, I was very honest and provided you with every Pro and Con that I could uncover blasting through the first 150 rounds using various types/weights of ammunition. (Well, the only real Con that stood out, IFC resolved after I sent a simple email to the company.) In my origional review, I like a couple other early adopters, had mentioned some type of interference with the hammer or trigger pack. After recieving my email, IFC was quick to resolve the issue by sending out a replacement part that was only defective on a few very early models. Apparently the wedge was milled at the wrong angle but can easily be rectified with a small file.) Now, my upper has no interference and continues to run without issue. I ran through another 150 rounds of ammo ranging from Remington, Estate, and Monarch and had ZERO stoppages/jams!!! This thing runs like a top!! It’s also a pretty accurate slug gun. *(Just remember that not all 2.5” shells are the same length and that can impact reliability.) What I do when I’m at the store and want to try a new load, is compare the length to 2.5” Remington shells. They are almos

IFC Magazines 10rd & 15rd .410 2.5" shells for the IFC .410 Upper Receivers!!

Written on Oct 15, 2018

The IFC .410 Shotgun AR Upper was a HUGE Surprise!! (As we all know, the foundation of reliability in a Semi Auto platform is primarily based on magazine design.)
I have purchased 3-10rd and 3-15rd IFC magazines and all performed without missing a beat. I would definitely recommend these for reliable feeding in the IFC platform. The only issue I've had with these is they didn't reliably hold the bolt open after the last round. (Not a deal killer because they reliably FED THE BEAST!!) The gun, firing several mixed brands of various weighted shot, including slugs..... only had one hangup out of 150 rounds using all 6 magazines.
(Oh, The 10rd magazine looks like the length of a standard 30rd Magpul mag. and the 15rd magazine looks more like a 40rd mag.) I'm SOLD!!!

IFC .410 ARU AR-15 UPPER was a huge Surprise!!!

Written on Sep 05, 2018

IFC .410 ARU AR-15 UPPER was a huge Surprise!!! (This upper for $350 or LESS is a fair buy... Quality is good for what it is....)
I currently have about 150 rounds of various brands/weights of ammo and I must say... This one works!! The platform is very reliable!!! (I only had one hangup early and was mixing Monarch #8 and Remington #7 and Remington slugs in the same 15rd magazine.)
***Note: It's not mentioned in the Description/Specs, probably to avoid confusion, but the barrel actually has a 3" Chamber which allows you to shoot 3" shells one at a time and it ejects the spent shell reliably every time!! This allows it to pick up the next 2.5" round from the magazine and keep going. **I ran a test by loading a 3" buckshot in the chamber and followed it with 15 rounds of different brands of 2.5" shells. This thing didn't miss a beat!!!
The key to reliability in these is to remember that not all 2.5" shells are the same length. (The Winchester AA 2.5" were a little long for the magazines and didn't feed well.) **The Remington's, Estate, Herter's, and Monarch brand from Academy 2.5" shells ran beautifully without a hitch.

*Cons: (Would be 5 stars but its still not perfect yet... ) There may be something to the other comments regarding the need for a shorter hammer. I had a high end "drop in trigger group" in my lower, and at some point, the hammer pin snapped. It still continued to fire without issue but this shouldn't have happened. I will now be usi

Camp Chef - Quality Product - Perfect for Boy Scouts Packs!!!

Written on Apr 06, 2018

This is a high quality, versatile option for group camping. We use it for Scouting and it works well having campouts with 15+ kids with their parents. We prepare Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on this setup and always gets it done. There are other accessories, attachments available from Camp Chef like the folding side table/covers that help with food prep etc. Very nice Burner/Griddle. Zipper cases are also available for storage and putting in your car!
Great product!! You'll toss out your old Colman green box 2 burner stoves after using this. (It out performed 4 of those at once!!!) Buy it!!!
