Should have waited but ended up getting around to installing the selector in another lower sooner than I thought. To be fair, the selector worked fine in an Aero lower with a single stage CMC trigger. So just putting it out there, depending on the trigger it may not work ideally. It’s still a bit stiff going in one direction but I assume over time it’ll break in a bit more and smooth out. Anyway, felt it was only right to come back and give some credit.

Not sure if I’m an outlier or what but I ended up buying 2 of these liking the concept of the push button. I finally got around to installing one last night on a new BCM lower I just got. Upon function testing I found that the first trigger (Geissele SDE) pull often felt difficult and noticed that the selector wasn’t allowing the trigger to engage (wasn’t allowing the backend of the trigger to come up and move as necessary to complete the trigger pull as if the safety was still on). After some additional force it typically would go but doesn’t seem reliable to me. I immediately took it off and replaced it with an extra Radian safety selector I had. I’ll try it on a different lower and see if I get a better result.

Real Avid Armorer's Master Gun Vise
As an owner of many Real Avid products, they knocked it out of the park with this one. I haven’t used it yet but in watching the reviews and playing around with it a little today I can’t wait to. I envision scope mounting becoming much easier which is the main reason I got it, along with gun cleanings, component swaps, etc. I had thought of something like this in the past and am glad a company made it a reality.

Top Shelf Upper - Amended

Just wanted to clarify my prior review post - while the backorder indicated 8-10 months (which I was ok with), it ended up being delivered within about a month. As I stated, I’ve been ordering a lot in the last year plus (check my account OpticsPlanet and hook a brother up!) and mostly purchase through OpticsPlanet as they have great prices and timely delivery.

Top Shelf Upper

I already had a MK18 but decided to go ahead and get another upper for a future build. Like the other reviewer, it originally stated like a 8-10 month backorder but I wasn’t in a rush and figured I had time to cancel my order if I changed my mind. The upper was on sale and on top of that I used a 10% coupon so I just couldn’t pass it up. I’ve ordered a lot from OpticsPlanet (also got a MK12 upper recently that had been on backorder for a while) and they continue to deliver. Love Daniel Defense and love the MK18...also have a DDMV7 and looking forward to a MK12 build in the near future. Phenomenal products. You won’t regret it.
