Fujinon 10x50 Polaris FMTR-SX Waterproof Binoculars continued .......

Written on Dec 25, 2015

PROS
-great for most huniting situations to see details of antlers etc. from 60-400 yards
-the quality of workmanship and image was phemominal for the price range of 500-600 dollars!!!!!
-I am very glad I purchased these binoculars and plan on purchasing the 7x50's also for even better dusk/dawn viewing
-great for bench-rest shooting or viewing wildlife/landscapes
- I personally like individual focus binoculars
- like my brother suggested to me before I purchased.......you always want or need more power. With 10x magnification you can eliminate a spotting scope for most types of viewing out to about 500 yards.
- light gathering qualities for dawn or dusk is good, but the 7x50 would be better for that very specific application. I was glad I chose the magnification.

CONS:

a little heavy at 3.5 pounds, around your neck. You will have to buy a carrying case. I am currently using a laptop computer bag. However, these binoculars are a joy to hold and use!!!! I don't mind the extra weight for the sharpness of the images I can see with out any eye strain!!!
some of you may not like individual focus for short distance.......these are great for say 60 yards on out.....not for birding or close moving viewing of animals

Fujinon 10x50 Polaris FMTR-SX Waterproof Binoculars

Written on Dec 25, 2015

I was unsure about trying these, but am glad I did because of funjinon's reputation and internet research. I am a novice in my knowledge of binoculars, but greatly appreciate quality equipment that I can count on. I was determined to find a great deal on a high quality pair of binoculars for about $600.00 versus $1200-1600.00 dollars that had a great warranty ( I believe Fujinon is 10 years?). I was NOT concerned about weight, BUT in the quality materials and high resolution for most hunting conditions and observing wildlife at longer distances. With that said, here are the pros and cons as I see so far after about a month of enjoying using a quality pair of binoculars with razor sharp images afield.
