Plano Protector Series Single Bow Case
Great Case! Plus it costs less than many soft cases.
Bought this for my long ATA target bow and it holds the bow plus arrows and my equipment with room to spare.
Everything is protected and secure in this product.

Not very sturdy for serious bench shooting.

Lyman Bag Jack
I received this item today and was rather disappointed when I opened the box and tried it out.
I like Lyman products and had great expectations of this jack.
First off, it's really not sturdy enough to handle the weight of a serious bench rifle.
Combine the weight of a shooting bag with the rifle and this thing finds itself in real trouble.
If you use it with the control knob back towards yourself. the unit allows a lot of sway from side to side.
Turning it to its side improves things a bit, but everything is still rather spongy and nowhere secure enough
for long range accuracy.
I'll probably keep it but relegate its use to casual plinking with 22s and handguns.
It's a great idea, but needs to be built with a lot more zest.

Declining Quality
Written on Jul 09, 2017
Over the last four or so years I have purchased eighteen various Boyt gun cases, all thru Optics Planet.
So, I feel that I can speak about Boyt products with some experience.
Initially, I was very pleased with the cases and quality that was received for the price.
However, as I progressed thru making these purchases, declining quality and constant price increases have now left me very disappointed.
This is no longer a quality American made product.
The last several cases have had misaligned and difficult to use zippers and displayed very poor quality sewing.
There is nothing protecting you gunstock from the inside of the sharp edges of the zipper.
Two of the most recently purchased rifle cases are virtually falling apart due to bad seams. This, not thru any abusive use, but rather just from sitting in my gun safe.
The current rather high prices and poor quality have made buying these cases a rather substantial investment that just isn't worth the money.
Buying from Optics Planet is a fine experience, but when it comes to gun cases I suggest that you explore their other brands.

LaserLyte Universal Laser Bore Sight
Laser Lyte usually has good products.
Sorry,,,, Not this time.
I had great expectations of this thing predicated the ridiculous price they get for it.
The design is good but the quality is awful.
The on & off switch assembly is fragile and failed on mine after only a few uses.
And,,, you had better plan on purchasing lots of batteries (it uses 3 at a time )and they are not cheap.
Because,,,, If your lucky you might get a set to last long enough to do one rifle.
Plus the laser beam is very weak and rather useless outdoors.
All in all a big disappointment!

Revisiting my first review
Written on Feb 14, 2017
I need to revise the comments given in my first review as follows:
Now that I have used these (The natural color) I have noticed that as they age the natural ones have a tendency to disintegrate and shed all over everything as they are handled. The lining of my gun cases have become full of shards of white material. In addition I was constantly picking pieces of material off my scope lenses and out of the mechanisms of my guns. This problem so far has been only with the natural color socks. I have been using other ones by Sack-Up with no problems to date. I invested in over ten of these neutral color rifle socks and am now in the process of replacing them with another product being purchased from Optics Planet.

Weaver Soft Side Gunsmith Tool Kit
Great addition to carry around in your shooting bag.
I added a small pair of pliers and a bore light to the set. There's plenty of room in the case for these additions. I also added a spare #10 and #15 driver because I use these a lot and tend to misplace them when at the range. The soft case is better suited for carrying around than the hard plastic ones that come with other sets. I have substituted a Weaver torque wrench for the driver handle that comes with the set to make it even more versatile. The driver handle is a quality product and was relegated to use on my work bench. I'm probably going to toss in a few drift or roll punches to complete out the tool set. Also removing a few of the driver tips that I feel are rather redundant.

Williams Gun Sight Gunsmith Screw Kit
Opened the box only to find none of the screws were identified.
Glad I had a thread gauge and micrometer to help me sort thru things.
Turns out that except for some really small screws, which I still can't identify,
everything is either 6/48 or 8/40.
The taps and tap drills are a nice addition.
However,,,, I was expecting a much better variety of threads and sizes.
The Optics Planet description needs to be more thorough so your not guessing as to what your getting.
Probably a worth while purchase,,, if all you use are these two sizes of screws.

Just to big and heavy to cary around.

After reading the good reviews, I purchased mine from Optics Planet.
I wanted a spotting scope to take to the shooting range and to use on hunting trips.
My purchase was made several years ago and the scope has virtually sat in the closet since day one.
The fine focus tuning feature is a great one and so is the scopes image clarity out to about 250 yards.
Beyond that range, along with for use in low light situations, everything becomes optically very disappointing.
For me the real problem is that this thing is a monster. It is very large and weighs around five pounds.
The size and weight alone make it totally useless for backpacking on a hunting expedition. That was really the main reason that I bought it.
The poor image quality beyond 250 yards also makes it not usable as a scope on long distance target ranges.
Bushnell usually has reasonably good products, but for a spotting scope I suggest you look elsewhere.

MTM Range Choke Tube Case 6 Extended Tubes
Good case that has a partial foam lining that keeps the chokes from clanking around and making noise.
It firmly holds even my longest extended chokes.
Plus,, it keeps greasy chokes from fowling up my shooting bag.

A Sock That Fits
Written on Sep 25, 2015
These are really great because they actually fit on a scoped gun with ease and room to spare.
I'm planning to get several more to replace other brands of sock.
Just watch that you keep the tie string ends hanging out.
