Review for
Hornady 366 Auto Shotshell Reloaders
I have been reloading with the Hornady 366 Auto for 45 years without a problem. I just bought this one as it's sale price made me want a second Hornady 366. Most reloaders choose the MEC 9000 for a progressive auto advance reloader due to it's lower price, and it is a good product. The build quality of the MEC is much lower with many stamped steel parts that are close together with a single pull down column handle. The MEC has a high enough pull down effort that some owners put on an extra long handle. Others spend over $1200 to add a power drive which makes the MEC more expensive than the Hornady 366. The Hornady 366 has a build quality similar to my RCBS Rockchucker press with strong castings and milled steel parts. The powder and shot shutoffs on the 366 are essential for starting out or finishing the shells on the turntable. The 366 has 2 milled steel columns with compound leverage that raises the shell turntable with its milled steel handle. The large turntable has the shells spaced out for easy reloading. For volume reloading, a progressive auto advance reloader is the way to go. The quality of the Hornady 366 Auto is an excellent product that the owner will enjoy using for many years.
