Disappointed :-(

Written on Dec 13, 2023

Received the sights and started the install right away. After I already had the front sight out, I see that the Trijicon front sight is almost completely dim. Even in total darkness, it was hard to make out. The rears were ok, but not as bright as a set I had in my Glock years ago.

Since this is my daily carry gun, I had to go ahead and install them. I reached out to Trijicon, and after several emails and finally a phone call, I spoke to someone that is sending me a replacement front. This is a staked in sight, so it is a pain to remove and replace. I would not order a set of these again.

Surprisingly good

I designed an RMR mount for my MP5K SBR and needed something to use. After a fair amount of research, I decided to purchase this optic. The clarity of the dot and options for reticles are a plus. I really like the "shake awake" feature as well as the auto dim/solar panel. The side mounted battery access is nice so that the optic does not need to be removed to replace.

Out of the box it was almost perfectly sighted in. It only took two clicks left and two clicks up to be zero'd in. I definitely would recommend this.

Overall a good case with a couple of exceptions

My MP5K clone fits well in this case, even with the folding stock attached. Overall quality is quite good. Mag pouches are easy to access.

There are a couple of things I do not like. The first is the difficulty in getting the zipper past the corners. The way the material positions itself, it needs to be pushed in with one hand while the other operates the zipper. Not a deal killer, but not as smooth as I would like for the price. I did call the manufacturer, but they basically said "that is just the way it is". Not very friendly customer support.

The other issue is the Velcro straps for the weapon are difficult to get tight enough to keep it from moving around inside the case. Ideally, there would be some sort of loop system so you could just pull it tight and lock it in place.

Points for it being Made in the USA.
