It a Brick not a Puck

Written on Jul 30, 2020

Will not work if you're using a Google cellphone (Google Fi) as the service provider is not supported. Lockdown support is of no help as have no idea of how the thing even works themselves. Customer support just reads a script questions that they answers for in front them. I asked two different representatives if they had ever installed or set one up, both answered NO!

Bad news trigger!

Written on Dec 24, 2019

My experience with Rise triggers. 7 to 8 pound pull, no consistency at all and very rough pull. Disassemble and found multiple tool marks, very disappointing based on the price point. Lots of over travel and the trigger has no consistency on reset. The take-up is also gritty.

Buy something else, I really mean it!

Written on Nov 19, 2018

First let say that I bought this due to being on sale plus 15‰ coupon, and the fact that part of the proceeds goes to a cause is not a bad thing. That's where the goodness stops. Very rough catchy feel, pull on my scale is at 8.24 pounds. The profile of the trigger face is rather thin I in comparison to military spec and other brands. So it feels like a 10 pound trigger. Upon inspection I found multiple tooling marks on the internal parts, but the outside has a very nice finish that does nothing for the clock work inside. So don't buy it because it looks cool, who can see insides of your AR other than Superman anyway. Reset is not consist, and has a gritty feel may be due tool marks within. Has a very small amount of creap before release but as trigger pull is so bad it's hard to notice. Rise pre greases at the time of assembly so additional lub is pointless. Side note the pins that came with the trigger are about 3/16" to long so they catch on everything. Swap out or file down to avoid the problem before installing. The trigger is now sitting dust bin with other odds and ends for the local swap meet.

Timmey Trigger Time

Written on May 03, 2018

First time trying a drop in Timmey trigger for an AR, have not installed it yet. I'm sure it will be a good choice as Timmey is my favorite trigger for the Remington 700 action. Timmey has a habit of making clean crisp and consistent triggers. 5 stars for all Timmey triggers I've used in the past.
