Great sight for the money!

Written on Jul 08, 2015

This is a great little sight and a great value for what you get. I also have a similar Trijicon, and while I'm sure the Trijicon has some advantages, this little sight doesn't give up much. It comes with a cover, accessible battery, great adjustments, and a reasonably crisp dot, there is a little halo but not a lot. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a dot with the features this has.

The best rings out there!

Written on Dec 09, 2014

I have used these rings for years and absolutely love them...once they're on. I don't think there is a better set of rings available at any price point, these rings are awesome and hold a scope like nothing else. They are a little quirky in how they go together, you'll need a little coordination to install them, but that may just be why they are the best rings available.

The rings have to be loosely attached to the scope before mounting to the gun which will be a little different for most of us. Also, you need to completely tighten the bottom screws before starting to tighten the top ones, the "a little on this side then a little on that side" way we are used to doesn't work here. The bottom screws attach to the gun so they must be firmly attached. The top screws hold the scope, they go last. I HIGHLY recommend a torque screwdriver for the process! You've just spent $$$ on great rings and presumably a great scope and base, drop a few dollars on the torque screwdriver, you only have to buy it once, and you'll be surprised the performance benefits. (I was over-torquing everything and didn't know it, and yes, that is a problem.)

Give these rings a shot, they are the best I've ever used. Also, if you have any questions or need any service, the folks at Warne are as good as the rings they stand behind.
