UPDATE: Gen5 works with SureStrike laser
Written on Mar 20, 2022
After calling the GlockStore, I was referred to their armorer and finally able to get this working with the SureStrike laser. The trick for Gen5 is to loosen the battery cap on the SureStrike cartridge to make more headspace for the striker contact. At first it didn't work and I was ready to give up. But then I tried troubleshooting the battery....turns out the one that shipped with mine was dead/faulty. Luckily, I had a few spares lying around that came with my Laser-Ammo airsoft gun.
This is currently the best dryfire option. I get laser feedback, I can practice reloads, no noise for my apartment, no upkeep costs (i.e. CO2/green gas refills) and it's compatible with Smokeless Range and any other simulation trainer.
I've tried to delete my old review but couldn't find any option to do so.

Don't bother if you want to use SureStrike

Concur with the previous review. The trigger will reset, but the laser won't work in a Gen5. Laser compatibility is the major selling point of this. Everything about this was an entire letdown, considering how long I waited for this to be in stock and arrive. I only have a Gen5 Glock, so I can either return this trigger or get a Gen3/4, install this kit in there and hope everything will work. I don't understand why they can't just say the laser functionality is not Gen5 compatible, it would have saved me this giant headache.
