Compact Acog scope mount picatinney version- high and low mounts

Written on Dec 21, 2019

Both mounts are the best and only quick release choices for the compact series. If you are using an AK pattern rifle, choose the low mount which will keep your line of sight close to the bore line of the rifle. If you have an AK with a side rail mount, try an RS Regulate or Midwest Industries quick release mount with integrated picatinney rail on top, then mount the low version of this with your attached compact acog for a lightweight, solid optics mounting platform/scope combo.Check out Mr. Guns and Gears youtube channel for an in-depth review on the 3x24 Acog when used with this mount in this fashion.

The high mount brings the line of sight to eye level with a normal cheek weld for AR pattern rifles. Again, a solid quick release mount with secure latching. I haven't confirmed zero to return yet but have every confidence it will do so. When I get a chance and if I can remember I'll followup after range verification of this aspect.

Acog 3x24 review 762X39 version

Written on Dec 21, 2019

This model has very good eye relief and a wide field of view, critical for self defense use or hunting. The magnification provides just enough power to clearly identify a target at normal engagement distances within 3-400 meters without sacrificing field of view. Lightweight enough to mount on an AK pattern rifle with a low profile mount, or a 762x39 AR pistol for hunting hogs. The etched glass reticle is also the best choice for anyone with astigmatism, which is generally anyone over the age of 40 due to age related macular degeneration. The reticle won't appear to" flare" or be a squiggly comma. The hold over/rangefinding capability for the 762x39 Russian is a nice touch, especially when using this to hunt hogs or for general self defense use, within the rounds' effective ballistic range of approximately 300 meters. Check out Mr Guns and Gear's review on youtube for a great review.
