Not much you can say about an 11.75" piece of stainless steel tubing, but it did fit and function perfectly. I used it to convert from a carbine-length barrel to a mid-range, and am completely satisfied with the product.

Based on extreme satisfaction with my Nikko Stirling 6-18 Targetmaster scope, I ordered this Panamax 8-24 model for greater magnification, (foolishly) assuming that it would have the same features as the TM I already owned. Yes, the disparity in features was revealed (with careful evaluation) in the item description, so the mistake was mine alone, but to prevent others from the same oversight, please note: First, the Panamax does not have left-side-turret parallax adjustment. Instead, parallax adjustment is via twisting the very stiff 50mm lens housing, which prevents viewing while the adjustment is made. Second, the windage and elevation turrets are capped and completely different from the TM....more like for hunting than for target shooting. Third, the light box is quite tight, requiring careful return to an exact viewing position. Fourth, all these shortcomings are delivered at approximately double the price of the superior Targetmaster scope. Yes, the Panamax functions fairly well as a hunting scope, with decent optics, but feature-wise it falls far short of the much more affordable Targetmaster. Bottom Line: If you can live with a max of 18x instead of 24x, buy the Targetmaster and you'll be getting a much better scope.

I ordered the MBA-3 Buttstock for my AR-15 as part of a conversion from tactical to long range target use. I needed an extra 1"+ pull, a cheek support to facilitate target acquisition on my rather tight-light-box scope, a picatinny rail for monopod attachment, and a snugger fit between the stock and recoil tube. It fulfilled all of these requirements perfectly. Installation was simple and although the fit to my recoil tube is snug, the stock still slides easily between adjustments and is far steadier than the original stock. My two slightly negative observations: 1.) The slide release plunger is not convenient or easy to operate with one hand. I wish an easily-accessible lever had been provided to facilitate plunger actuation. 2.) The price seems a wee bit high, but I cannot deny that you get what you pay for.

I recently ordered the Sig Sauer Buckmaster scope rings featured in this review, primarily due to the surprisingly low price and the quality associated with the Sig brand. After delivery and installation, I am still amazed that mounts of this superb quality were available at about a quarter of the price of other offerings. They installed quickly and securely, with the special Torx wrench included, and have thus far held my scope at absolute zero position after several trips to the range. To provide additional proof of my satisfaction, I just ordered a second set to replace the rings on my other rifle. In my opinion spending more money than the cost of these mounts is money wasted.

The N.S. Targetmaster scope arrived promptly and was easily installed on a Ruger Precision .22 Target Rifle using Sig Sauer rings (also from Optics Planet). I have fired several hundred rounds using a bipod stabilizer at 50yd to 100yd range with exceptional results, achieving sub-1" groupings. Besides the easy adjustability of reticle focus, windage, and elevation....I really like the saddle-knob adjustment for distance focus, which is so much easier and effective than rotation of the objective ring. Overall, this is a beautifully designed and constructed scope that functions as good as it looks. I highly recommended it to all who are seeking a high-quality, precision scope at a very reasonable price.
