Great Rangefinder

Written on Nov 22, 2020

This unit has surpassed my expectations. My previous experience with rangefinders has lead me to believe the rated ranging distance is very inflated on rangefinders, but that is not the case with this unit. I have been able to range multiple buildings at 1800-2100 yards on normal mode, rated for 2400 yards on reflective targets in normal mode. The glass is very clear, which is important to me as I use it as a monocular in the woods and leave my binos behind. I have enough to carry, and the 7x magnification is enough for woods hunting. The menus are easy to use and navigate, but I will note I am not a fan of the lanyard. It is a bungee cord with a clip on the far end to attach to your body. I would prefer a simple wrist strap, but that is a preference. The case is a nice hard case that can be zipped shut for secure transport, but also has a quick and quiet release mechanism if you plan on needing it in a hurry. Time will tell how durable it is over the long term, but so far I am very happy.

Great Scope

Written on May 15, 2017

Lightweight, clear and easy to use with ample eye relief. Magnification range is great for a variety of uses, and the fine reticle makes it great for varmint hunting and target shooting. The only negatives are the turret zeroing method, the reticle focus, and the adjustment detents. The scope turrets have a screw to remove for zeroing the turrets, which makes it hard to do in the field but simple to do otherwise. The reticle focus is a very fine adjustment and can take multiple turns to get adjusted, but once adjusted will not move due to the use a locking ring to keep it in place. The adjustment detents are not positive, and can be hard to feel. The detents are the most noticeable problem with the scope, so this scope would not be the best choice for someone who dials in their hold offs. For anyone who zeros the rifle then uses the reticle for hold offs (like I am), this scope is perfect.

Great low power scope

Written on Nov 10, 2016

Using this for my 44 mag lever gun for deer hunting, and it has worked well. Clear glass with nice definite clicks for adjustments. The magnification adjustment ring is smooth and easy to move, and the eye relief is not critical. Only weird thing is the side parallax adjustment as this is a low power scope, so this feature seems unnecessary.
