Nice scope for the money

Written on Mar 24, 2017

At this price point it's a lot of scope but not perfect. As others have mentioned the side parallax focus knob reads nowhere near the correct range and the power adjustment ring is very stiff. I don't mind that so much but it feels a little rough or gritty also and that's a little disconcerting. Both days I used it it was cold but sunny and so made for lots of mirageor heat waves rising from the ground up so I could not tell how sharp it was at high power. Time will tell tho. I liked the feel of the elev. and wind. turrets

Sloppy fit

Written on Feb 05, 2017

I bought this to replace my stock trigger in my High standard 1911 and was very disappointed when I installed it to find it was almost .030" smaller in the height dimension and was so sloppy of a fit as to be useless. When installed there was about 1/16" of movement up and down at the front of the trigger shoe.

Handy little gauge

I found it pretty accurate for the price. As others have stated you need to place the trigger shoe well to keep it from slipping off but it's not as bad as some make it sound. I tested it on some known trigger pulls and its pretty accurate. You need to be steady on pulling it to get an good reading tho. If want to be able to discern ounces get a digital scale. I would say it is accurate +/- 2 ounces

Flexibilty

Written on Nov 13, 2015

That's the key here. The ability to have a lot of options for ring placement allows you to mount your scope exactly where you need it to be for perfect eye relief position. it may not be the best mount when using heavy recoiling calibers as it is made of aluminum for those I would suggest a steel base. A lot of ring options out there for this base also
