Misleading and false drscription
Written on Jan 11, 2026
To start with, it is not stainless steel or saf-t-clad coated. Luckily the other kleen bore set I purchased is saf-t-clad coated with plastic. This is nothing more than a ferrous metal steel 4 piece rod very similar to the military issued rods stored in A2 buttstocks. I didn’t measure but the package states it is 32.25” and not 34”. It does come with a slotted patch holder but does not come with a brush or a bore mop.
In summary I’m most disappointed that iit doesn’t have the plastic safety coating like the other kleen bore rods (even an uncoated smooth stainless steel rod would be safer to use). I’m not as concerned about the missing mop and brush but the extra mop and brush I ordered cost me $6.
If you want a military issue replacement to use on rifles you didn’t pay for or have a cheap barrel where potential damage or accuracy issues aren’t a concern, then this is a perfect choice. It even has the built in handle permanently attached to the rod and folds over to create the “T”. Would also work great as a compact rod to carry to use for stuck cases.

MDT AICS .300 WSM/6.5 PRC Metal Magazine
To be fair, it is a good magazine and will work fine if there is a reason you HAVE to have 7 rds or want to save $5. However, it is the exact same height as the Accurate Mag equivalent that holds 8 rounds and has a spring that is significantly stiffer. This magazine is less expensive overall but if you price it out by the number of rounds it holds, it is the more expensive offer. I purchased hoping it might be a little shorter or possibly a double stack and it is neither. Is is a quality magazine though.

rail hand stop

Ergo Surestop Tactical Hand Stops
flexes too much. I am used to solid handstops that you can connect a sling to and put lots of pressure for stability. This hand stop isn't built for this purpose and didn't meet my needs. Part is made out of a rubbery type plastic. Even if I wasn't looking for something rock solid and stable to put forward pressue on, this wouldnt be it. Handstop was not comfortable and not sure whay anyone would even use this for.

Picatinny base

Review for
Evolution Gun Works Picatinny Scope Mount, Remington Model 541, Long Action Rifle Rail Mount
At one time, I would of said yes to the recommendation. I have 4 or 5 of these rails mounted on various rifles. They are as good of quality as one can build and the finish is good and the price is cheap at $30. The reason I no longer recommend this base is because I prefer the Weaver brand of picatinny bases that are also $30. The reason I like Weaver over EGW is because the slots on the Weaver bases are flat and square like you would find on the built in picatinny rail or upper receiver on AR rifles. The EGW is not flat across the top which makes it easier to snag and when mounting rings, it is harder to slide forward and aft. The Weaver brand picatinny for the same money is now my go to picattiny base
