Will not connect to the DDM4 V11 Daniel Defense AR

Written on Apr 30, 2018

The attachment system on the bipod does not connect to the rail on my DDM4 V11. It will attach to the top of the rail, but that seems to hinder the ability to actually use the bipod, not to mention the inability to use the scope on the top rail. I have sent questions to Caldwell (BTIbrands, owner of company, I believe) asking them if there is another piece of the puzzle that needs to be purchased in order to hook to the SLIM Rail on the DDM4 V11.

Leapers Quick Detach Picatinny Rings

Written on Aug 26, 2015

To be honest, I thought I was making a mistake, these were priced very low and I had my doubts, but the Technical guru at Optics said my thoughts were unfounded. Boy was he spot on. These are heavy duty, I took them out of the box, and was impressed, nothing cheap about them at all, quality, solid and you will not go wrong.

Sightron SI Hunter Scope

Written on Aug 26, 2015

Excellent scope, for the money, not sure you can find anything that has as many features. I'm impressed, a good choice, I think it is overkill for my H&K G36 .22 Tactical rifle, but with it I can actually see the inside rings of the target (I had a red dot and the magnification was 1X, all I saw was the big round ball) now I can actually pick out the center for impact.

Bore Sight - New 9mm pistols

Written on Apr 08, 2015

I only gave this 4 stars, why, I have yet to actually shoot the pistols to determine how close the bore sight actually places my group of shots. Nothing against the laser, I simply have not been able to get out and test the results.

I will say, very easy, unscrew the back of the sight, plop the batteries in, be careful, they are small, and make sure if you drop them in, they do not bounce and change from showing "+" to "-", which one of mine did, not a problem, drop it back out and be careful.

Slap it in the bore, gently allow the slide to butt up against the back of the sight, they say do not close all the way, and then using the reflex sight, gently align the laser sight with the bore sight. Pretty straight forward.

Blackhawk Sportster - Tactical Carbine Case

Written on Apr 06, 2015

I purchased this prior to actually being able to purchase the AR-556, I read the information on the AR, and then decided on the 36" case, rather than the 42" case.

Imagine my surprise when I received the AR and put it on top of the case and it was too long. I could not imagine I had made a mistake on the fit, and after several times questioning my sanity wondered if the AR simply had not been collapsed from the manufacturing company. You got it, collapsed the stock probably 3" additional inches and perfect fit.

Nice case, strong, holds clips on the outside, good fit. Oh, the only question I have now and will contact Blackhawk, wanted to register it for warranty and the warranty card does not list the name "Blackhawk Sportster", so will have to contact them and see which item they listed covers this.

Leupold DeltaPoint Reflex Sight

Written on Mar 17, 2015

I have purchased two of these sights and would have given them a 5 star rating but until I'm able to find out how to sight it in, I will hold back 1 star.

I thought when I purchased the Leupold, in reading the information that it had there was a grid on the lens, well that is not so, my misunderstanding. I have searched the web, unable to find much, lots of pictures and YouTube on shooting but nothing that I have found on how to sight it in. I'm guessing there is information, I simply have not found it yet. My question, it has a red dot, where do you align the red dot, to the front sight, when I looked at one shooting with the DeltaPoint 3.5 MOS, it looked like the person would pull the trigger about the time the red dot was somewhere in the middle of the lens, how reliable can that be? When you think it is in the middle. With the normal sights, you align the back sight to the front and then pull the trigger. Waiting on a response from both Leupold and Optics Planet to decide how I proceed.

I like the set up, and purchased the GLOCK G34, Gen 4 with MOS capability so I could mount the Leupold, I just need to find someone that says, this is the way you sight this in, here is where you place the dot, I'm thinking over the front sight, but not sure.
