Upgraded Glock 43X to Ameriglo Spartan Tactical Orange/Green

Written on Apr 24, 2021

These sights work really nice and stand out in daytime with the orange front sight! I first saw these in my LGS on a Glock 43X back in 2019. I liked this sight combination, but the demand for Glock Pistols during 2020 and into 2021 has been thru the roof. Availability of the Glock 43X was rare and if you did come across one, it was sporting stock Glock polymer sights at a higher MSRP.

Some years back, I had bought Ameriglo sights from Optics Planet changing the original sights out on a S&W Shield with good results. I own an MGW Sight Pro Sight Installation Tool, with various pusher blocks and slide clamping shoe's, as I prefer doing pistol sight work myself. I finally did come across a Glock 43X with stock sights for $499 and purchased it knowing that I would be changing the sights to Ameriglo's.

Concentrating on the 'Front Sight Picture' is easier having an orange outline in the daytime. At night, the visible green tritium front and rear sights work great as well. I tend to prefer either a 3-Dot or Single-Dot sight system for the most part over Straight 8's and some others, as it's just what I'm accustomed to shooting over some 30 years. I do like Trijicon HD night sights as well, but don't feel I've compromised anything by choosing to go with the Ameriglo's. YMMV
