It’s hard to find a perfect replacement for a MAK-90 rifle thumbhole stock without spending a shiny penny. This Tapco was an unsuccessful attempt at trying to save some bucks. The Tapco stock will not fully insert into a stamped, straight cut MAK-90 due to the inserts of the stock. There will be a noticeable gap that you can’t be fixed, at least with any backyard engineering that I was able to muster. If you are a MAK-90 owner and are trying to ignore your friend’s shouts of “Ironwood, Ironwood. IRONWOOD!” Forgive me it telling you that I had to give in to the voices. This Tapco isn’t any help. For those who care to know, an Ironwood stock with hardware, and my choice of finish cost me around $120. I’m not happy that I’m spending that much for some wood. I’m not happy spending $30 for useless plastic either. Happy bargain hunting.
