Put this in a DDM4ISR as I have a friend that loves his Elftmann triggers and it fails to reset on 3-5 rounds out of every 30. Sometimes I have to wiggle the trigger left to right and I'll hear the reset click so I can fire it, but this isn't a failure to let off the trigger, I'm moving it from side to side for it to reset, not forward and back, that's not normal. Most of the time, however, I have to rack a round and watch a perfectly useable round hit the floor in order to get it to reset. This is worse for subsonic ammo (I've tried several manufacturers), but I can barely get through a mag of supersonics on this trigger without an issue.
It sucks when you're range shooting, it's dangerous for life saving applications, and it would be terrible at competition shooting.
Oh, yes the screws are keymod, but the rail isn't. It's completely flat on the back so it won't stay put and while it might work as an M-Lok, it completely fails as a keymod. Key Mod should have raised bumps on the back side so that the rail can't slide off...
The SCO15 lower is a solid good feeling lower setup for an ambidextrous bolt catch release. The Type III hard anodized coating is smooth and the etching for the logos is sharp and speaks volumes about it's quality. I wanted to get the matching upper, thinking that it was the same quality and that it would pair well with the lower as it's the same metal, same coating, and advertised as the same manufacturing process. I was very wrong.
This upper is a terrible waste of money, I'd give it 0 stars if I could. I honestly thought I got a counterfeit or manufacturing error when I first got it, but it's just terrible. There are no special features on the upper, it doesn't even have standard features like etched rail numbers. The logo and branding make the upper look fake when paired with the lower, as they are fuzzy and look stamped instead of laser engraved. It insanely obvious there is nothing precision about this and the price is entirely because you paid $250 for the lower so you'll likely make a terrible decision and buy this as well. But, the lower comes pre-cut and with an ambidextrous bolt release and so it's only slightly expensive for its feature set while this is just grossly over-costed and under-featured.
You can literally buy higher quality, more feature rich uppers that will better match the quality of the lower for half the price.
Honestly, this upper is so terrible, it's put me off the entire brand because this is pure and udder disrespect for their custom
