Great charging handle, not great color

Written on Jan 28, 2026

Solid construction. Excellent feel. Ordered grey which appears more silver in picture but actually more bronze-grey when received. Not a big deal to me really as I'm not posting pics are entering beauty contests. My trigger, safety selector, and charging handle are all different shades of grey. They all work and this handle is solid. 4 star only for the disappointment in not really grey color. The ambi pull works. Really like the feel of the grab with and without gloves. It's built to go more than show.

Bright light and good grip

Written on Dec 16, 2025

The light is bright white with good range. The grip feels natural hold and gives a good c clamp purchase. the trigger button to activate light is well thought. This adds great functionality while keeping the overall look of the firearm minimalistic. Probably not the choice of people wanting that super tactical look, but it does 2 jobs in 1 and doesn't add clutter all over the gun.

Great form and function

Written on Dec 16, 2025

I have a couple of these Game Changers. One on 22/45 and another on 10/22. The added weight on the end of the barrel may do as much for muzzle rise as the ports, but it does work as advertised. The fit and finish on both are great and they just make the firearms look better. It elevates the factory look on both Rugers I own. There isn't much recoil in 22lr anyway, so the felt difference is honestly minimal but it is there. Overall, I highly recommend. The aesthetics alone are worth the price.
Just be prepared for a little additional cleaning with your tiny brushes to get those openings clear. Especially true if shooting lead nose budget ammo. You are going to notice build up on those ports closest to barrel after just a few rounds.

Drop in fit in current gen M&P9 2.0 Compact

Written on Aug 29, 2025

Wanted option of threaded barrel for my M&P compact 4". With the great price and solid return process offered on Optics Planet I figured this was worth a shot. Barrel dropped right in and locked up like OEM. No fitting or smithing required.

Put 200 rounds through it with no issues whatsoever in one trip to the range to test function. Shot 115gr Blazer Brass and 124gr Federal American Eagle as well as 10 rounds 147gr Federal HST. All cycled and slide locked on empty. There was no drop in performance compared to OEM barrel. I have not live fired with any muzzle devices yet as I wanted to be confident of the barrel's performance before shooting with anything hanging off the end of it. That said, the treads are good and devices go on as you'd expect and I am confident they will work as intended with this barrel.

Considering the factory-like fitment, quality material, and performance; I would say this barrel is an outstanding value.

Great value drop in trigger that performs

Written on Aug 28, 2025

Single stage trigger is fast with no uptake, light pull, crisp break, minimal overtravel, nice reset.
Easy to install like most drop ins. No adjustments in the trigger group itself which is nice in my opinion.
I put 100 rounds on it first time out after install and worked like a champ. I would not recommend this (or any single stage trigger) for novice or inexperienced shooter, but if you know what you are doing it is a great add to your rifle.
The trigger is well worth the cost and competes against any drop in the +/- $200 range.
