does not fit new model 11

No matter what ProMag claims, this is not inletted for the Savage Model 11 Hog Hunter. If you have a tapered action lug, it will not fit in the straight slot on the Archangel. Then when you mill out the slot to fit, you find that there is no space for the side bolt release. I will mill that out next, hope I still have a stock left when I finish. Lessons: send it back if a drop-in doesn’t fit on the first try, and always cut the stock, never the action. I only gave it 2 stars because I can probably fix it despite the misrepresentation. Oh, and nobody answers the phone at ProMag, they are all at the SHOT show.

NightForce UltraLite Ring Set
Very pleased with these rings. Used to mount a Nightforce ATACR in 5-25 x 56 to Nightforce standard rail on SAVAGE 12 LrP in 6.5 Creedmoor and an all steel Brownells rail of the same height on Savage 112 in 338. With the 1 inch rail the scope cleared both barrels with sunshade on. Easy to move from one to the other with torque wrench and 1/2 inch socket, no more QR for me. Seemed easier to thghten than others, less rorstion of scope with tightening. Matbe my imagination but I did get square crosshairs at full torque.

Review for
CTS Targets 1/2in Steel Magnum Rifle Gong
Very impressive, heavy piece of metal. Fits my hanger perfectly even though only using one hole. Weight and thickness much greater than my 3/8 targets. Have not had a chance to try st the range yet, it will be a challenge to see at 600 yards. Looking forward to hearing its ”bong” with 338 Lapua and will report any damage.
