I bought one of these for my dad's 22 marlin after using one of the accu-shot monopods (BT12-QK) that mounts to a pic rail. The Marlin does have a thin stock so that might be part of what is introducing the wiggle. I also think the swivel stud single point of contact just can't lock up tight enough to get all the slop out. Dad ended up drilling a hole and mounting another screw to the stock and with two points of contact it became a lot more rigid.
While the guys I shoot with don't always understand or appreciate the different toys to the range, everybody loves this chronograph. It's quick and easy to set up. The unit provides easy to read data after every shot to let everybody know if there was a change in velocity or user error that caused any deviation.
I ordered both the Invert 60 and the Levitate Level Head. After trying both I preferred the Invert60 because the knob rotates with you as you move the gun while the lever from the Levitate Level locking lever stays in the same spot unless I pick the tripod up and turn it. Invert 60 is able to tighten down and be rock solid.
