Great for getting your feet wet in the hobby

Received it as a Christmas gift. Great telescope to start the hobby if you can by-pass the technicality of using an EQ mount and low-quality diagonal. The eye pieces are not bad either. Refractors offer really nice clarity and I was hooked in this optical tube. The tripod could be better though, it’s a bit flimsy and the whole thing shakes a bit if you’re not extra gentle when stargazing. I wish Carson would offer the assembly components to be sold separately. The bracket of the optical tube broke off during a move and now I can’t use my telescope. I’ve looked everywhere for one and even contacted Carson with no luck. I found another bracket online that may do the trick though.
Overall I would recommend it for a first telescope to get you in the game at a price point that won’t break the bank.

Great Plan, Poor Execution

I don’t know what type of AR15s/M4s this product was made for, but it definitely does not fit my SIG Tread M400. Not by a long shot. Even after completely disassembling both pieces to assemble it back in the mag well. I was looking forward for this grip. FAB Defense normally releases good products - don’t know what happened here. Very disappointed tbh.

great stick

I previously wrote a review saying the stick was impractical when operating the charging handle, unless pulled back completely because of the cheek rest. I wrote it without realizing the cheek rest can be removed if needed.
So having said that, I can surely say the stock is awesome! Definitely recommend it.

The stock feels great and looks better, but it makes it impossible to operate the charging handle unless you pull the stock all the way back due to the high cheek rest. Also makes it super hard to look through your scope/sight unless you place it really high on your rail.
It’s impractically tacti-cool.
I’ll be returning mine and choosing another one.
