I wanted to give it a 4 at first because honestly I was shocked at the amount of muzzle flash I was getting. But after thinking about it, I had to step back and remember what I had it mounted to. Running a 11.5” with 556 is gonna produce a significant amount of flash regardless of muzzle device you get, unless its a suppresor. It definitely produces more of a flash compared to an A2 flash hider, but thats what it’s supposed to do. It is supposed to push everything forward and down range. That includes the flash.

Honestly, I found my 11.5 Pistol more pleasant to shoot with it. Recoil was slightly higher BUT muzzle jump was non existent. Definitely quieter and my buddy who shoots with me said it was much quieter in the lane next to me compared to before. I also feel the ballistic performance Is improved as well bc I shot the gun with 223 after installing and I was shocked that I still had my zero at 50 yds which I had zero’d with 556.

This biggest pain was installation…bc the old stock Dust Cover was such a PITA to get off lol. Honestly, for the cost, this is the best upgrade for under $20. The cover doesn’t scratch so it requires no maintenance and it looks amazing. The FDE match was perfect with my Magpul furniture. I couldn’t be happier and can not recommend this product enough. When I build my next AR, this will be in the shopping cart on day one.

Easy to install and FDE was a pretty good match with my Magpul Furniture! Like the texture on the plunger over stock PSA plunger it replaced. Regardless if you are buying to match a look in your build, I would replace most stock FA with this!
